I don't exactly remember how the hell it is called anyway it is also mentioned in the movie The Ninth Gate in which Polanski subtly inserted several very interesting pieces of occult information (like he also mentioned the little known but powerful Orsini family which is considered part of the black aristocracy).

In the movie it is clearly explained that this order -- at least at the time the movie was made -- had been reduced to an orgy club (and I guess one in which young prostitutes are paid by old sleazy pervs!), have you ever heard of it? What do you know about it?

I agree with the explanation the movie gives but I wonder if in the past it was something different.

I suggest you read the book, there are quite interesting pieces about the book, quote from the book as well as original drawings of the gates created for the novel.

I collected the engravings, it's somewhere on the forum if you want to study them. I wanted to make a whole occult book using them, but dropped that. Demonology is not my thing so I just couldn't provide it quality that I would like to.

Powerful people, orgies and wretchedness seems to be connected. I've heard something about orgies of Borgia family, Orgies of Roman Emperors, and we all know about Epstein files. In Muslim countries, where women are just property and not seen outside, powerful men developed taste for young boys prostitutes instead, but beyond this difference it seems the same... but prostitutes being paid? They are bought rather than hired, hired people you have to respect.

Ugly can of worms...

The more I know about occult societies, the more I realize that spirituality, and even occult work is a solitary work. Seeking for group of serious occultists is practically lost case.
