Who are the spirits behind it, one is named Zozo that is not as friendly as he appears to be.
Does it really work for perceiving the past? Would this be cheating at my 200% effort pathway?
How safe is it to use either method for advanced divination? What spirits are safe?

Nothing brave about that . But while I used it solo I did notice it's pretty easy to accidentally force the movement and change the answer, I guess that's why the spirits didn't like it.

Well maybe you're right about that but there are worse entities than demons lurking in the shadows or though Ouija Boards aren't exclusive to those unknown entities as you can attract them by other means.

The goetia spirits are probably the only spirits that I know of that are at least chilled with interacting with the living, they even have a bio so to speak. Which makes them easier to work with because other practitioners understand their temperaments (I'm not sure if that's the correct word) and they interact with us humans on a daily basis.
