What're the limits of practice and those of theory?
Does theory even have a place in real life?
Each day anew, I wrestle with the above.
If book-smarts is only for those armchair-magicians, then Magick'd be all practice,
And if it were the other way round then it would be all in the text and non in life.
Both extremes push it too far.
Magick is definitely empirical and definitely textual. Well crafted plans, can and do, often, have to be modified
half way thru. Spirits aren't robots, but have complex motives and angles, many times more complex than the average person.
