Peter J. Carroll has passed away

Just heard that Peter J. Carroll has sadly passed away. From his publisher:

Peter J Carroll (1953-2026)
The Wizard has gone. With great sadness, we have to inform all that the celebrated occultural author, teacher, and innovator Peter J Carroll passed away unexpectedly in the early hours of Wednesday 22nd April 2026. He was a star whose books and ideas changed the lives of millions. He was instrumental in the birth of Chaos Magick, one the most significant new magical/philosophical streams of thought of our times. He is survived by a wife and two daughters. Pete will be cremated in a simple private ceremony for close friends and family. He leaves a great legacy which will be the subject of a longer eulogy and memorial in due course. An online memorial page will be available shortly

Unsure if he did any work on afterlife preservation, but even so natural forces and the vector of his soul may endure the disregard.
Hope he's enjoying being a disembodied idea in the mind of spirits and comes back renewed and ready to continue.
Hail Eris!

So sad. I finished my second reading of Liber Null & Psychnaut last weekend. I struggled with it the first time round, but it utterly captivated me this time. The stuff he wrote about Kia fascinated me and took me to Austin Osman Spare's work, which is equally fascinating (and strangely dreamlike, and frequently incomprehensible!).

Loss of a legend. We owe you a lot, Pete.

I'm sorry to see this verified. I thought it was a hoax when I saw it posted elsewhere. It's very sad.
