Hi everyone! I've recently come across two different types of petition styles and wondering how to increase the power or what would be powering them.
I have seen a way of working with the Shemhamephorash angels where you place a target (person, place, concept or thing) in the center and write the name of the Shem angel you are calling along with their associated Psalm in a circle or a triangle. You can then place the petition in herbs or liquid that corresponds to your petition (i.e roses for love, salt for protection). You then pray the full Psalm associated with the angel over the petition/working.

I've seen a way of working with the Psalms in a similar way where you write a target (person, place, concept or thing) or your actual petition (i.e. "I have a full time job") and write a specific Psalm that is corresponded with your target around it in a circle. You then pray the full Psalm over the petition.

I am wondering if this is enough or if I would have to boost these petitions (potentially by using candles or repetition)

You do not need to annoint or charge a petition. The petition can be written however and it is recommended.. The petition happens at the height of the ritual, when the sphere of influence is already created.. It is simply you calling aloud what you are asking the spirit for help with / commanding the spirit to do.

In a way it seems you are overthinking the petition part.. The rest of the evocation is the important stuff. Corresponding plants, herbs, elements or offerings are apart of the ritual/work.. they may be offered on the altar or around the triangle of art... Everyones temple is set up different so it varies.. The petition itself is merely your words and intention.. The whole ritual itself corresponds to your intent, so theres no reason to charge the petition.. Your own will connects with your voice when you are reading it aloud.. the culmination of the whole ritual goes into the petition, so why would you need to do anything to the petition itself? Many times people dont even write out the petition, they just say it aloud..

Hope this helps.
