Planetary Energy without it being a spirit

Hey so for those of you who can sense energy , is there a way to work with planetary energy without it operating like a spirit .
I have made an attempt before with Jupiter and mercury by asking a deity I already work with to tap into it but I just ended up with a planetary spirit. Not that there is anything wrong with spirits per say just want to know if there is an approach that would help planetary energy to function in a less conscious way like working With a herb might ( I know plant spirits are also a thing , but ppl also tap into the energies of plants without working with the plants as a spirit so I just wanted to know)

Each "planet" has different associations and intents. A lot of people simply try to "vibe" with those association to tap into those "archetypal power"

In your case of Jupiter, I’d summon the energy of Jupiter and work with it. The only difference is that working with an energy source is less dynamic than working with an actual spirit.

Do a yoga nidra but move the sigil and a liquefied version of the associated metal between every point. Thats how you get in the energy.

Tell the spirit that you didn't call for it, and it's presence is not needed. Thank it for coming, and ask it to leave. Then just continue your work with the planetary energy.

Might be what your subconscious responds to, helping to personify an otherwise abstract concept. If it gets you to the same end result I wouldn’t be too hung up on it.

so again we see looking at the characteristics of a “planet “

So the question on working with a planet without its characteristic is kinda odd question
And what’s the end goal you want to achieve ? As the whole idea is to work with the characteristics and archetypes within us and doing the process of “solve et coagula “ with them to achieve much more refined archetype

One way of approaching the work with planetary energies is through Marsilio Ficino, especially his Three Books on Life (De vita libri tres), and more specifically the third book, De vita coelitus comparanda, usually translated as On Obtaining Life from the Heavens.

Ficino was a 15th-century Renaissance philosopher, physician, astrologer, and translator of Plato. In this work, he explores how we can attune ourselves to planetary and celestial influences through correspondences such as music, herbs, stones, perfumes, colours, images, diet, and astrological timing.

So it is not only astrology in the predictive sense, but a broader Renaissance approach to harmonising the soul, body, nature, and the heavens.

I would say yes, at least from my own experience. I remember once I was struggling with holding the voltage of Lilith and Bune at the same time (Probably dont do that). It was so much energy that after about a week I was almost unable to continue. So I built an actual ritual, which I dont always do, directed toward Saturn.

My intent was not to ask for a Saturn spirit, or intelligence. I was asking for Saturnian structure. Not control, not rule, but grounding. The ability to hold the voltage without burning up, but also without smothering the fire. Different animal altogether.

Did I follow all the “right” protocols that every occultist would approve of? Probably not. I am personally not that interested in the dogmas of others, so I proceeded.

For me, it was an absolute success. On the third day, I felt a clear change. I was able to hold the energy in a different way. I became more like a conduit and less like a resistor. The intensity was still there, but the way I held it was cleaner, smoother, and more structured. This was the entire point of that ritual.

So yes, in my experience, you can work with planetary force without treating it as a spirit. Will it work the same way for you? No idea. Try it and pay attention to the results.

The thing I would think about is your intent and the framing. If you frame it as “calling Jupiter” or “summoning Mercury,” your mind, system, or the current itself may naturally personify it. If you frame it more like “I am tuning into this planetary aspect,” that may help keep it less spirit framed.

At the end of the day, this is occult practice. Results matter. Protocols can be useful, but they are not gods (unless you make them gods, your choice).

Personally I work with planetary energies and very very seldom with their spirits because I feel more fitting to feel the energies than talking with some external being.
