Hey, everyone!
Just wanted to share my journey with occult-minded people. I have developed, and am working on, a Grimoire of Poetic Spells, and am having great fun with this method. What's a poetic spell, you may ask? It's an old-school spell, used for recitation, but in the form of a rhyming poem (the rhymes are very important to make your unconscious will go for it as well, not just your conscious will - that's how I see it).
They employ Entities, invoking their names and powers, and are meant to be cast/recited aloud. You know, as if you were giving a poetry slam reading, put some heart into it. Maybe ham it up a notch if you're into acting (I am), so that you believe yourself for a moment there, haha.
I currently have 4 spells like that crafted, working on a 5th. One invokes the power of Venus and her Solomonic Pentacles, the other is similar but for Mars. And have just completed a targeted lust spell invoking Beleth (because of course, I wouldn't be me if I hadn't developed a magickal method and gone for the sex, heh), and another one for an aura of lustful power, invoking Sitri. Gonna work on a little something with Zepar as well.
I am developing the method through inspiration and trial and error. But the spells are really fun to cast/recite. F. in. for the Pentacles spells I pull up the sigils of the Pentacles and glance over them whilst invoking their power to get a better energetic connection.
I have also started a cheap wordpress blog, where I plan to post poetry I shall compose to praise various Entities I plan to pact with: currently have plans to pact with Venus (for love stuff) and Apollo (for music-related stuff). In the process of gathering ritual equipment to give the pacting rituals more oomph: I currently have a cloth with a pentagram, a badass chalice and some candles. Gonna need some candle-holders for the candles. Also waiting on my set of proper mage robes to arrive (I ordered them from a LARP store, haha).
I posted two of my spellpoems there on a lark (the Solomonic ones) and I've even gotten some likes for it, haha, which is suprising, but means the pacting is going to work better because people are actually reading what I post up there.
As you can see, I like having some fun with my occult practices.
