Hello everyone.

I have come across a bit of an issue at home and I’m struggling on which way to go with things so I’d appreciate any input that any of you are able to offer.

After many years of reading, in the last few months, I’ve been inspired to carry out some simple workings by re-reading Advanced Magic for Beginners. I’ve been blown away by the results for what, prior to reading this approach, I’d have considered - probably in my ignorance - simplistic and silly. I’m now at the point where I’m looking to carry out more complex workings and begin to meditate more and dive deeper.

The issue is my family. My wife is very anti all things occult and has no idea that my interest in such things, which she knew I was interested in when we met two decades ago, has continued.

I know it’s best to be open about these things but my practice has to be private. Has anyone found any practical workarounds for making this part of your life and routine, alongside a more mundane existence with a family who simply don’t get it or are distressed - for reasons beyond me - at the whole concept?

Thanks.
