But among paper ones I have few that I'm really proud to have, like still incomplete collection of Thursakyngi books (I have numbers 1 and 3, hoping to buy 2 from Ixaxxar, when they make reprint) Not exactly hidden stuff, except one book that I consider so dangerous that it must be locked away. But people around me do not really explore my books with interest to read anything. (and they cannot read English much so it's safe on that too)
Hey! Would it be possible for you to scan Thursakyngi 3? I'm trying to compile as many Anti-Cosmic texts as I can in a digital library? (And if that dangerous text you mentioned is also Anti-Cosmic I'd love to privately message you about it, if you don't mind.)

The book is in the Library anyway (use "Ekortu" as a search term).

I've wondered if having a Christian background might increase one's effectiveness with Christian sorcery.
I know personally several orthodox nuns and even an orthodox priest that practice some kind of evil folk magic.. Religion is often the best undercover ever! They use spells for manipulating and controlling people, also for financial advantages. Yeah, I am not kidding, because I was burnt by them.

I try to maintain privacy (perhaps not secrecy) apart from people who I know also practice magick as I have a beef with my immediate family who had a tendency to look through my stuff and thus disturbing my peace, and thus magickal results.

Fortunately, I now live alone so that's less of a problem. But f. in. my older brother has a habit of snitching whenever he comes over and he sometimes does so univinted. I hate people who are incapable of respecting another's boundaries.

I do make it known I practice magick sometimes for the intimidation factor, though. I know, I know, but it's a warning call against all boundary-pushing people. ;)

Greetings beloved's,

As a solitary practitioner who integrates shamanism, witchcraft, occultism, and Luciferian ideals, my approach to practicing privately or in secret is deeply tied to my personal journey and the unique nuances of my craft. Working independently allows me the freedom to explore my spirituality in a way that feels authentic and deeply connected to my ancestral heritage. It creates a sacred space for personal reflection, intuition, and the dynamic processes of healing and transformation, free from external judgments or societal constraints.

Being a solitary witch means that I engage with the energies of the earth and the spiritual realm on my own terms, designing rituals that resonate with my personal beliefs and experiences. This privacy is often essential for cultivating the deep introspection needed to navigate the complexities of existence. It grants me the flexibility to experiment with magick in ways that honor both my lineage and my individual path, keeping my practice intimate and personal.

However, my practice does not remain solely solitary. When engaging in specific Luciferian rites and rituals, I join with my partner, who is a warlock. These shared experiences allow for a powerful exchange of energies and insights, enriching both of our practices. Practicing together brings a communal aspect to our otherwise individual journeys, fostering a unique synergy that deepens our understanding of the occult and enhances our magical work.

In this context, practicing privately or in secret serves two distinct but complementary purposes: it offers me the autonomy to explore my spirituality in ways that feel most aligned with my truth, while also allowing for transformative collaborations that elevate both my practice and that of my partner. Whether alone or with my partner, the essence of my work—rooted in shamanism, witchcraft, and Luciferianism—thrives in the spaces I create, inviting introspection, empowerment, and a profound connection to the spiritual realm. This dual approach reflects my belief that the sacred journey of self-discovery can flourish both in solitude and through meaningful partnership.

Additionally, practicing privately or in secret holds particular significance in my work, especially as I engage in "magical workings" for clients, which I conduct alone. This necessity stems from my identity as an empathetic and Highly Sensitive Person (HSP), deeply attuned to the energies and emotions surrounding me. My heightened sensitivity allows me to perceive subtleties that many may overlook, making it essential for me to maintain a focused and undisturbed space during my magical practices. When performing workings for others, the ability to connect with their unique energies and intentions requires a level of solitude that ensures clarity and concentration, allowing me to channel my clairvoyance and innate spiritual gifts effectively.

As a medium, I facilitate communication between the physical and spiritual realms, drawing on the wisdom of my ancestors and the energies of the earth. This clairvoyant ability enriches my practice but also makes me acutely aware of the emotional landscapes of those I work with, further necessitating a solitary approach. The environments in which I conduct my rituals must be optimized for deep focus, free from distractions and external influences that might dilute the energies at play. Privacy ensures that I can establish a sacred and protective space, where I can fully immerse myself in the workings without the interference of additional energies, allowing me to amplify the effectiveness of my rituals.

Moreover, working alone allows me to draw deeply from my well of intuition and personal insight, tailoring each magical working to the specific needs of the client while also honoring my own energetic boundaries. The intimate connection I cultivate with each individual, combined with my empathetic nature, fosters a transformative experience that not only aims for their healing and empowerment but also nurtures my own spiritual growth.

In this way, striking a balance between solitary practice and collaborative endeavors with my partner during Luciferian rituals becomes a dance of energy and intention. While my client-focused magical workings necessitate solitude to harness my empathic gifts and clairvoyance, I also cherish the moments of shared practice, as they invigorate my spirit and broaden my understanding of our craft. Thus, practicing privately becomes not just a necessity but a sacred opportunity for deepening both my connection to my spiritual gifts and my ability to serve others through the powerful art of magick.

Practicing privately or in secret, whether as a solitary practitioner or within a chosen circle, is a deeply personal choice that allows individuals to shape their spiritual journeys in ways that resonate uniquely with them. Each person's practice reflects their beliefs, experiences, and needs, offering a rich tapestry of magick that varies widely. Embracing solitude can provide the clarity and focus necessary for personal growth and healing, while communal practices can foster connection and shared energy. Both approaches have their intrinsic value, and each practitioner should feel empowered to choose the path that best suits their preferences and circumstances. Ultimately, the beauty of magick lies in its individuality, allowing for a nuanced exploration that honors diverse paths while fostering a deeper understanding of oneself and the world. Whether practicing openly or in secret, what matters most is the authenticity and intention behind the work, creating a sacred space for transformation and empowerment that belongs to each person, regardless of their chosen method.

Your soul is a cauldron of potential; when you harness the energies within and weave them with intention, you unleash a magic that can reshape reality itself. ~The Shamanic Unicorn Seer~

Appreciate this topic…it’s really interesting to see how people live and relate to others. I think it’s wise to keep secrecy or privacy simply because people can be dangerous even when they aren’t meaning to be. Also because they wouldn’t understand, nor try to. Of course some will, but that’s not something you want to test (reveal first and found out later).

I don't have to practise in secret, fortunately. But I am private about my practises and beliefs. For me it is such a personal thing it would feel uncomfortable sharing this with others. But I can appreciate especially in certain areas of the world, it could actually be dangerous to be open.

I agree with some of the above posts. Standard meditations, energy and memory work can be done anytime (privately or in public spaces). People will not notice anything out of the ordinary. Other rites etc. for your path obviously have to be worked in private. Beyond the old saying, there's still a lot of misunderstanding and fear of the unknown in the general public.

Hi,
Following a discussion started in @ShadowRogue 's introductory post, it seems to us (@AlfrunGrima @Morell and @ShadowRogue) that it could be interesting to share experiences and tips about practicing in secret, or privately. I don't myself practice in secret (my partner knows I practice, and actually might even start getting into magic and practice at some point), but I do need privacy to practice as of now, that is I practice when I'm alone. But I do have a physical library, for instance.
@ShadowRogue does need to practice in secret, and with permission I quote here what was in the other thread (to gather things at the same place):

@AlfrunGrima also needs to practice secretly, and wrote some text in the other thread (not sure yet I can quote, so let's wait)!
Any others interested in sharing their own experience about this?
Hello Shalux,

Like others here, which aspects of my practice that are done privately or in secret are dependent on the situation and people around. I was always taught that it is better to practice in secret. My spirituality has always been open if it comes up naturally, but it's nothing I go out of the way to let people know about. My co-workers don't share their religion with me, and I don't share mine with them. The most that crossover happens is bringing some catering etc on the holidays.

When it comes to magical practices, I was taught its harder for someone to counter your work if they aren't expecting it, that goes for harmful or helpful magic. My family knows about my practice of course, but the deepest works normally take place in powerful states of trance where someone would be very board to sit and watch you.

I certainly don't mind anyone else being open about it. Outside of when they just don't know what they're talking about of course, and even then, it isn't my job to correct anyone. The Mysteries have their own guardians.

This does touch upon the topic of occult secrecy, as in the Pillar of Silence. I find that discussing the topic among likeminded practitioners does not have a releasing of metaphysical pressure that you have built up with your Silence, but to open yourself and your practical techniques to the minds of people who would see it as at best a joke, can be a nail slowly letting air out of the tire. Imagine each time someone thinks of you, they imagine you as powerless, and ridiculous, overtime that becomes a force you may have to be aware of.

The only time I find the Pillar of Silence to come into place with other Initiates is when it is unsafe to share with them because they may not have the best intentions, or if a being shared something with you that you are meant to keep to yourself. You would quickly find yourself no longer given secrets if you could not be trusted with them.

I have rarely met genuine practitioners, mostly just people who find the topic interesting and like learning about it. It is nice to have the chance to talk to people more serious about the subject.

Internalising most everything when it comes to practice. I'm the happy medium between introvert/extrovert so I have no problem being open or being totally absorbed in contemplation when alone.

I have been craving knowledge and immersion in literature since an early age, and that has shaped near every part of me, so integrating magical texts or even the odd dip into scholastic religion is no issue. Expressing my views but more importantly working through criticism or things that impede me has really ramped up due to huge upheavals recently.

Magic and esotericism is drawing me in, willingly I may add. Pure openess and almost just being in a state of acceptance and most importantly recognising when certain rituals or mentalities work. My mind's eye has been obsessed with pentacles recently, thus I am perceiving protection at this time.

Reading some of the comments here makes me cry inside, and at the same time, thank the gods for being in the situation that I currently am in. I grew up in a hardcore Protestant family where it was much more accepted to disown your child for not accepting Rabbi Yeshua than to just deal with it and move on. Heaven forbid you consider the fact that Pantera’s son specifically called us “dogs”.
I’ve never walked around talking about it all the time, like it’s part of my public image, but if someone asks me I’ll tell them. Here where I live now there’s all kinds of different practices, from traditional ethnic faiths to modern syncretic practices, folk Catholicism, and even, i’m told , different magical orders and clandestine groups of satanists who are involved in the more dark things stereotypically associated with boogeymen “satanism”.
I had a girl who I had been seeing for awhile break up with me after she went in my office and saw idols of my ancestral gods, and other things which she associated with “witchcraft”. At first I was rather shocked, in my entire life I’ve never had anyone tell me that my gods frightened her and that she was afraid her daughters would “see inexplicable things of witchcraft”. 🙄. Hey, whatever, babes, thanks for being honest and not just ghosting me. Best wishes! ✌️

i practice anything that i do in private, my office has curtains so I can have complete privacy. Fortunately I live literally on the edge of the desert so if I get a sudden craving to go to the desert and practice something from some odd book, there’s miles of open mesquite and other stuff to disappear in for several hours.

I practice in hostile environments for years, where nothing was to be viewed and no space was really truly private. Visits of the room with or without us present were possible and did happen. Even candles would be considered contraband. At that time my whole arsenal was tiny incense sticks, a lighter (people would pass the word when the inspections were coming), pen and paper, and strong visualizations.
Now that I have some reasonable expectation of privacy I have a rich and growing library of ebooks. Even some physical books in foreign languages. A few simple tools: a pocket mirror, incense, white candles, lighter, a metallic 'knife' (not sharp) to open letters, magickal record, tarot deck, pendulum, some divination sticks, cups of water, some specific rocks, tons of prayer beads.
A lot is still down through visualization, but it's nice to have some things to work with and just for the tactile pleasures.
I do a lot of petitions, sigils, mantra chanting (usually humming), some rituals with curtains drawn, for everything outside the house it's all visualization. Some 'normal' looking amulets and 'elements of decoration' that are really artworks that are the result of rituals are also spread around workplace and other frequently visited places.
Still looking for a flight friendly version of the magickal knife. Mine although not sharp is still not fly-friendly. Thinking about experimenting with some fancy cocktail mixing spoons or maybe painting knives.

I don't have to be secretive about the fact that I practise, but I do think that all magical acts need to be kept secret from anyone not involved in them, because everyone has the ability, but almost no-one uses it with intent, as a magician does. Instead, they may get random synchronicities (synchronicity is randomised magic).

This means that anyone who finds out about your magical acts when they are 'in flight' will be able to influence them without realising, and their influence will undoubtedly be 'noise' instead of 'signal', and will interfere with your intent.

I don't hide it, but I do mute it. Apartment LBRP means I'm banishing with aggressive whispering.

I do Liber Resh in my normal speaking voice and once did it with the balcony door open. Now the neighbours wave at me like I'm the weirdo who yells at the sun four times a day.

Fair.
