Protecting a large natural habitat

Stumbled upon plans for a large nature reservation not so far from me that is planned to be transformed because of ideological/economic interests,
for the worse of anyone and anything living inside the forest area or beside it, they do not care for the countless protected species there and want to plant huge windmills everywhere on a large scale. I think this is about destruction, why else would you choose this area over countless options in areas of mono-culture etc.

How would you approach the protection of a rather large area like this?

I think the other part regarding the participants that want to make it happen or oppose it is pretty clear to me.

I just wondered if there were some rituals you guys know/could be applied to this scenario or could be drawn inspiration from?

Maybe petition the land spirits on that land? Maybe its too late for that at this point, meaning it has been sold or under development. I would still petition the land spirits, ask them to protect the land against development.

You could also ask a demon or angel, or Deity or planetary force to assist if its that important to you. You could (this is easy to do) create a curse against the current of development on that piece of land. This curse wouldn't be against people or companies, but against the current of development.

The curse could include:

Confusion and disruption of those who try to develop the land.
Frustration in the minds of those who would take part in said development.
Blockages in the funding used for development of that land.
Severe headaches plus a sudden onset of heavy diarrhea of anyone who steps foot on that land with the intent to develop it. (together that would be horrible lol).

This way your curse would land only on those who take part in the development of the land. Not against any persons directly. That keeps you clean. This works well with this type of intention.

I would petition the land spirits, plus weave a curse into the land against its development.
