Is it possible and how to modify one's or someone else's body through magic, for both health and aesthetic purposes?

Absolutely beautification is one of my favorites, because I have heavy Venusian placements.
There's a lot you can do for health and beauty using magic, however health magic requires a surgical touch, or you can absolutely f*ck yourself up.

Venus for beauty and the Sun for health magic. I have adhd, so I like to use Mercurial spirits and deities to help me with executive matters, also studying and recently to help me improve my Spanish.

I've wondering about the power of magic to bring about changes myself lately. There are two books about shapeshifting in our Library, and at least one of them claims that physically transforming yourself is possible. Somebody started another financial magic thread only today, asking "How much money can you earn each month through magic?" My opinion was and is that it will cost you lots of effort, magic can only help you to become amazingly successful, and yet there's also a thread about winning the lottery where magic is supposed to ensure that only the figures in your bank account will change, not your slacker lifestyle. So shapeshifting, winning the lottery, Kazaam!, and everything's new in a flash?

Since it's magic we're talking, appealing to common sense is not such a convincing argument as in mundane conversations. However, what to do when the fabulous Kazaam! method fails to work? Either you give up on magic entirely as silly superstition, or you try a more pragmatic tack which will involve more or less exactly the same measures you'd take in real life, only this time facilitated and enhanced by magic where a healthier diet won't feel like a sacrifice and frequent exercising not like a chore. I think everything is possible here that wouldn't require surgery or heavy medication otherwise. The Taoist Deer Exercise may increase your A cups to a Bs but won't give you a DD size, and don't think it's possible to alter one's facial bone structure by means magic.

A lot, and I mean a LOT, can be achieved by altering one's posture and body language with the help of magic. A steady bold gaze, walking with confident strides, a calm and relaxed demeanour, all of that contributes to an attractive appearance. Granted, all these interventions cost time and effort but the transitions will be smoother and 'feel' more natural.

I think you're bringing up one of the most important points. That it's imperative to be realistic and pragmatic, while also doing the work. When I perform beautification spells, it enhances the quality of my skin but it's only for a set period of time, unless I'm doing a year set spell. When I've performed these same spells for clientele, I had to be careful because some people had skin conditions and certain elements and herbs using candle magic, like per say sugar could trigger excess acne, eczema etc. Alot of beautification spells alter your personal and others people's personal perceptions of your appearance, while improving the health of the skin and your features. I also noticed that beautification spells, increased urges to preserve self-care and created more meticulous hygiene methods. Standard things that things that humans in general find attractive, good hygiene, clear skin, etc.
Essentially a beauty spell isn't going to give you an instant nose job but it will make you and others find your nose and other particular quirks to be even more beautiful than normal.

Even with money magic and wealth magic, these things need to be upkept and maintained. Now as for winning the lottery and gambling magic, chance luck is hard to do. In my tradition, there are actually spirits of luck and gambling that will assist you at the casino, but they need to be worked at frequently and maintained and honestly would not do well with a slacker type of person. There is a specifically big spirit, a water siren like spirit who has such severe powers of allure and attraction, she can also attract mass amounts of wealth, however downloading her, petitioning her and serving her, is extremely labor intensive and she's also very petty, she might kill you but those whom she favors easily clear 20-50k in a Casino, once a year. She's also prone to favoritism and not everyone can call her so it's very much hit or miss with her.

Shapeshifting magic also I've noticed changes how you appear to others. So it alters others perceptions of you but you physically remain the same, the same with invisibility spells, it simply makes others unable to notice you. I only know this because I've tested these things out via Cloaking spells and I'm a child of Shapeshifting spirit. This means I can change how I am perceived at will, I am not physically changing, I am influencing people's physical and mental perceptions of me, in the pre-rational mind. These types of spells are also somewhat consistent also with glamoury as well, and somewhat on the same par. Some would say this is a form of hypnotic or precognitive effect, in various traditions it is argued over. I would say it is a mix of both.
Great example of this is a shapeshifting/invisbility spell in my tradition that keeps the cops from noticing you. If it's not done right, you'll get into accidents on the road because not only will the cops not notice you, but other drivers won't see you either - lol. This spell has caused a ton of mishaps and has had to be altered several times, because people wanted to go at it lazily. However I have seen it done well and the person using it wasn't actually invisible, it just caused people not to notice them and kind of look through them - I've personally used it on wild stray animals, that I wanted to get closer to.

As for health magic, I consider that even more experimental. I can only use myself as guinea pig and branch of my experiences, although I have been in contact with a few practitioners who also practiced health magic, but they always quit. I have been able to alter my own physical chemistry for the better sometimes permenently and sometimes not.

All in all, with all of these types of magic, if one decides to pursue them they become a lifestyle choice, if you want to get their best benefits, they do require consistency and labor or the effects fade out.

don't think it's possible to alter one's facial bone structure by means magic.

I remember reading reading someone recounting their experience: that when they were young they had broken their nose and it healed in a rather crooked position. Subsequently, they cast a spell to straighten their nose. Following this spell work, they found themselves having numerous accidents in which they kept breaking their nose, until one time the accident essentially reset their nose and it healed in a straight position, after which they stopped having these accidents. Obviously this is a relatively minor example, and there are still limitations implied, but I think the story helps illustrate how magical effects manifest and the limitations that come with that.

Ha, reminds me of former thaiboxing and MMA champion Wanderlei Silva who had to undergo surgery on his nose - it had been broken so often that it eventually interfered with his breathing.

There's a new BBC series called "Clickbait Clinic with Stacey Dooley" where she investigates viral health trends, misinformation, and extreme wellness advice found on social media. From the description of the first episode:

Stacey witnesses a shocking surgery in Miami where people have their legs broken to get six inches taller.

Seems you can take 'beautification' too far... any spell or statement of desire should take such potential excesses into consideration. After all, you can also lose weight e.g. as a result of a stomach ulcer.
