While we know imagination, visualization, creativity and awareness are necessary in pathworkings, how do we get guided yet remain in control from beginning to end?

I would like to try Keys to Imagination, The Osiris Scroll, A Garden of Pomegranates, and some Druid books I have. Will check out a few GD books as well.

If .. and it is a big if .. I can glean details on correspondences from literature on the old gods, maybe pathwork them.
