Raising, applying to intent, and releasing energy during ritual, how-to?

I like the Magicians Workbook, I really do. Im looking at the Mercurial Invocation, and will read the book in depth when I have the time. Same with The Magical Trilogy.
I guess where my failing before have been not knowing basic ritual components and subcomponents.
Subcomponents include
Creation of sacred space -- Ive got this
Self purification -- Ive got this
Raising of Energy -- By Middle Pillr, Ive got this
Meditation on Intent -- Ive got this
Using correspondences -- Ive got this
Saying an incantation related to the meditation -- Ive got this
Building energy
Releasing Energy
Banishing -- Ive got this
Now, if there are parts of ritual missing here, then it starts with knowing every possible component and subcomponents of any ritual.
In newer magical systems however, Gallery of Magic and Quareia being the only two valid systems I know of at the moment, I choose both, I like both, and certain parts are easy for me, such as sense evocation keys in Magick of Demons for example, or the Angelic Invocation in 72 Angels of Magick; McCarthy has purification and sacred space covered, and movement of energy covered. Between the two, and with Savedows Magical Workbook, this will solve most of it Im sure. Frater Barnabas also has a spectacular book on Ritual that I am also reading.
So lets look at the Mercurial Invocation
Prepare the temple
Preparoty Immersion/Subjective Syntehsis
Self Purification via Ritual Bath
Banishing ritual to clear space and balance sphere of snesation
Lighting candles and incense, pattern around altar in circular fashion
Opening the ritual
Godform assumptions
Battery of Knocks
Begin conjuration
Invoking Hexagram of Mercury
When ready, reverse circular pattern extinguishing candles then incense
Banishing ritual
License to Depart
Closing battery of knocks

Pretty straightforward to me ... except for the energy created, raised, mingled with intent, raised again, and released, thus fulfilling intent. Even in a petition ritual, the energy work is what stumps me. Others have recommended systems such as Qi Gong or Reiki, while I struggle with building Psi Balls, or even seeing them even my own, although a new trick was taught to me in raising and releasing energy, the final step like Spider Man or something.

I did not search before hand, will do that. In case this has not been touched on before, or even so, would appreciate solid answers on how I can use the advice to be a better magician.
