I have always been a very negative person, Ive been taking anti depressants and mood stabilizers since 12 years ago, I did drugs (various) but mostly cannabis, tobacco and casually alcohol, I liked Black Metal for its occult content but then again is a very disonant and depressive vibe which Ive been told can lower ones vibrations, lately after I got possesed by a spirit and some one recommended me Golden Dawn material Ive been working hard to be positive, Ive stopped drug use, I practice Martial Chi Gong, I changed from Golden Dawn to Aurum Solis because I connect better to Mediterranean Gods so I practice Greek Qabbalah rituals to connect with Microcosmic Kether and draw Light from it, I try to connect with the Higher Self or as it is known in Greek Tradition with the tutelar Daemon, I play piano which is also very good, and I think last 2 things I do to rise my vibrations would be meditation (various types) and reading certain Psalms.

What are other things a Western Mystery practicioner could do to rise its vibrations and stay away from intrusive spirits who feed on dark energy?

Practice 'metta' as taught by the Buddha. Lookup Bhante Vimalaramsi.
Can you tell me more about it? The tradition I practice is called the Yoga of the West, and I connect a lot with Greek/Roman Pantheon, but I have no problem to Indian spiritual teachings, but the only thing is that I know almost nothing about them, thank you.

I've been there. It's easier than you think to bounce back. The hard part is staying put.

It's going to be a lot of the things you might have heard already. Exercise, eat better food, meditate to start. Then you have to look at addictions that consume your time and energy and leave you vulnerable - excessive drinking, non-natural drugs, porn, junk food. Start to reduce those dramatically, if not eliminate altogether.

Also watch your habits online or interacting with people. If you're quick to become enraged, that's something to deal with as well.

New habits take a month to stick to you, so things like sigils and matras can be huge helps in this regard. If you already work with some positive entities, ask for their help as well. Many entities like working with people who are functioning at your best, so you could look for some that fit with you and see what happens.

Don't be hard on yourself if you have naturally darker undertones. Some people just do. Many of us here do as well.

If you're trying to raise your vibrations, it sounds like you're doing everything right—not just correct, but outstanding—because you're taking action and not just mumbling spells.

My two cents on this— to raise your vibrations overall and not just temporarily— you need to make lifestyle changes that boost your vibrations. Get out of the apartment. Get outside. Exercise. Be social. Dance. LAUGH.
All of these things are challenging and not always easy to do. ... but they are the WORK. They WILL raise your vibrations, perhaps even permanently.

No one said magic is easy!

You got a point there. finding right people makes a number on us through natural energy sharing. Hanging out with positive people makes one more positive. Though good to find out real good people, not some fakes like in some love-bombing cults.

I agree with what everyone has said.
I will just add my own versions; all life is energy, which is , at it's heart, frequency and vibration.
More positive music. When I was in a really tough time after leaving the Army, I listened to a lot of Enya. it really helped a lot.
More exercise. We are in physical bodies and the amount of simple endorphins that are released from simple exercise is amazing. Your mood will boost almost instantly.
More sunshine. UV radiation also kills negative physical entities like viruses but also bad for negative astral influences which crave dark and moonlight. Not to mention the warmth and vitamin D, etc.
More nature! kind of like the above, but sit quietly with water and trees and earth. It will recharge you.

I feel I am naturally a depressed person due to my upbringing and my mental chemistry, and astrologically pisces, but by choosing a more solar centric and force and fire path, you can balance yourself.
From a practical Work point of view, mantras are great. I really enjoy the feeling from simple chakra bija mantras. If you find the right frequency for your body, you can feel them vibrating strongly. Also devotional work, bhakta towards a loving deity.

And the most important thing, in my lineage and if you are doing Western work. Banishings!
Banish daily! It is not just for cleaning a space , or yourself, it balances all of your energies and bodies!



I like a paraphrase from Castaneda; do not wallow in your emotions. Control them.
