ritual for honoring ancestors on a special date?

Heya! This is my first post :)

My beloved grandmother died a few years ago, and her funeral was on her birthday. She would have soon turned 100 and I wanted to do something special to connect with her on that date. Would appreciate any advise/recommendation.

Throw a party ! Have a feast ! Invite any who loved her , make sure she has a seat and plate and drink at the head of the table , have pictures of her , offer food and flowers and perfumes and anything she liked . Get together with the people she loved and talk about fond memories . It can be potent , for her , and for those engaging in this 'memorial '
