Greetings wizards! I am looking for scrying method that is safe and works pretty well and tested and doesn't cost expensive materials, and my thanks to you all.

Buy a cheap picture frame and paint it black.
Another method, bowl of water.
These are probably the easiest and cheapest methods. (y)

Just a little explanation: Either paint the inside of the glass of the picture frame with a matte black color, or put black paper inside the frame. Something like a picture of the Solomon's triangle could be used as well.

As for the bowl of water: The bowl should be black, as well.

Forneus, that obsidian mirror sounds lovely! Honestly, don’t feel pressured to turn it into a complex ritual right away. Sometimes the best way to get comfortable with it is just to place it in a dim room, sit comfortably, and spend a few minutes just letting your gaze rest on the surface without trying to 'force' anything to appear. It's really about building a relationship with the tool first. Just treat it like sitting in silence with an old friend. :)

Thank you, my friend! I think this would be the best method for the beginning :) I bought it because I wanted to do full evocation ritual from 'Demons of Magick' book :D But I have so many rituals to do daily (yeah, friends keep asking me) that I don't have so much focus on newer things :)
My mirror is exactly this (but image is from internet):

Correct for screens of monitors and TVs. They can be effective and not by chance! The abbreviation is LCD - Liquid Crystal Display which speaks for itself. Another way before getting a mirror or other tools is to stare into the darkness in a very dark room. Cognitive visual isolation returns signals from the optic nerve to the brain and this increases the likelihood of visions.

Thanks for posting the old monitor idea. I would have never thought about it. I’m totally going to try this with my next dead / done with monitor.
