I often see complex patterns that look like large sigils when I start off a scrying session, I also see what look like ink drawings made up of lots of lines. Sometomes of animals or what I assume is the spirit I am contacting, but most often it is a complex pattern of swirling imagery. After that I tend to see abstract images ofetn in different colours. I find these hard to translate into 'english'. So other have this kind of experience? what do you see them as?

I usually see images that can take on weird shapes, kind of like a shape that a little distorted, but I can still make out what it is. If that makes sense.

It really depends on your reason for scrying.

Often I focus my thoughts on a specific question or anxiety I'm having and more often than not the things I see have relevance. Other times I may focus on something that I need a sigil for like a statement of intent or even a simple element and I find that a sigil will present itself. The hardest part for me is capturing the sigils that are presented. Copying them to paper for ritual use it's often hard to focus on what was seen and replicate it accurately.

One way to figure out what specific symbols or figures might mean is to treat them as though they are conscious intelligent beings and ask them questions to help you understand them better. It's often easiest to do this using whatever divination method you like, including more scrying if that's your preferred method.

If it's something like a sigil, try putting it down on paper and then do your divination with it as the "other" that you are speaking to. Ask it to help you understand it better. Ask it to describe its purpose or meaning. Ask it to clarify what it's trying to tell you.

You can also use more than one divination method in multiple sessions to try and communicate with the symbol or figure. Sometimes they can express things more easily with one method than another, and sometimes it takes a few different methods and attempts to get a clearer understanding.
