Section about Crystals

Hello all! I love this forum so much and I would love to see a new section or an addition to an existent section about Crystals.
I think they are a wonderful tool for meditation and magick. I currently use a lot of crystals in my meditation, in spells (like Moldavite, Pyrite, Auralite-23 etc. etc.) and they certainly help and are underrated AF.

I feel like this fits well into the broader category of Witchcraft, Folk Magic, and Herbalism. Even though this may not seem to point towards much of the modern or New Age practices associated with crystals, nearly all of the meanings associated with stone and crystals were informed by folk magic traditions, in the same way correspondences are determined for plant and animal products. Things like the doctrine of signatures in herbalism, and other like=like associations. Pink being a gentle form of red, classically associated with passion and love, therefore a pink rose quartz is associated with relationships and love. That sort of thing.

I feel like many people will easily see this fitting into this category, as the current active discussion on crystals over there can attest to.

This is a great idea! I wasn't sure exactly where crystals fell in terms of grouping, so it'd be nice to see if there's a section for it or if it's added to some existing section. I was perusing and wondering where can I find out more about aventurine or tourmaline or rose quartz, specifically in regards to which sizes are ideally suited for holding them for increasing energy connected to each chakra during meditation. I'm nowhere near broaching magic subjects, but hey, I think I can try to use it for more basic energy meditation exercises.

In case this isn't clear, I'm not in favor of adding a new category for this and think it's covered. Maybe appending "crystals" in some way at the end of the description could suffice to avoid confusion.

If something is occult related and doesn’t neatly fit into any of the other sections, then by default it goes into General Occult Discussion. I would have thought this to be pretty obvious.

That’s an excellent idea; I also use and own many stones and crystals that I’ve collected over time—including Kundalini citrine, moldavite (9g), Greenlandic nuummite, and several others.

I don't see the point of further cluttering the forum by adding a separate section for crystals.
If crystals, why not herbs?
Divination tools?
Oils?
There is a search function, I feel like some folks want to be spoon fed information rather than look for it.

wow, what do you even use a 9g moldavite for? and how much did it cost

The moldavite cost me around $400 USD; I have to admit it was a somewhat impulsive purchase—I had never invested so much in a single stone before. My goal was to use it as a quantum amplifier or to turn it into a talisman. I still need to get back to working with my stones and crystals, as they can amplify the energy already present within a person. That is why I am currently focused on daily training (Chinese Taoist—Jerry Alan Johnson); in fact, in his book on talismans, he discusses the power and use of tektites like moldavite and Angel Chime tektite (which I also own). I bought almost all my stones and gems on Etsy, carefully verifying their authenticity and checking the sellers' reviews.
