[Tutorial] Sexual magic is one of the most powerful and mysterious arts

Informative post.
Sexual magic is one of the most powerful and mysterious arts. It involves working with the creative force par excellence: sexual energy. It is not simply a matter of combining eroticism and spirituality, but of learning to direct this energy with conscious will.

Yet, today more than ever, sexual magic is one of the most misunderstood fields of occultism. Too often it is reduced to a game of seduction, or worse, a way to gain power over others.

There are three terms often mentioned in esoteric texts, but rarely explained clearly: monofocal, bifocal, and polyfocal.

Let's take a closer look at them:

Monofocal

“Mono” means one. In this approach, all the sexual energy generated is channeled toward a single, specific goal.

Many believe that this means practicing alone, or that it is synonymous with abstinence. In reality, monofocal refers to the direction of the energy, not the number of participants. Even in a sexual act between two people, the practitioner can be monofocal if they maintain their concentration on a single magical purpose.

Bifocal

“Bi” indicates two focal points. Here, the energy is divided: one part remains dedicated to physical pleasure and sensual experience, while the other is channeled toward the ritual intent.

It is often confused with “half-hearted commitment” or superficial practices. In reality, bifocal is a subtle art: knowing how to fully experience union and, at the same time, not losing the direction of the energy work.

Polyfocal

“Poly” means many. Sexual energy is fragmented and directed toward multiple targets simultaneously, often in complex or group rituals.

Many simply associate it with group practices or ritual orgies. But true polyfocal is an advanced discipline, because it requires a mind capable of maintaining multiple active intentions without dispersing vital force.

Many people approach sexual magic driven by the desire to seduce, bind, or manipulate others. This is the greatest danger: sexual energy is a sacred force, and its distorted use can generate profound imbalances, not only in the life of the other, but also in the practitioner themselves.

Sexual magic is not a means to “obtain” but to transform oneself. It is a path that requires responsibility, self-knowledge, and a great capacity for self-observation.

Monofocal, bifocal, and polyfocal are not labels for classifying erotic acts, but states of consciousness. Those who reduce them to simple “techniques” lose their true essence. Learning to work with these three focuses means learning to become masters of one's own vital energy, and this is a power that must be handled with respect.

Those who wish to learn more can start with texts such as Magia Sexualis by Paschal Beverly Randolph, Crowley's Liberes related to the O.T.O., or The Serpent Power by Sir John Woodroffe, which explores the tantric vision and the awakening of the kundalini. These readings help us understand how sexual energy can be a gateway to higher states of consciousness, provided we approach it with respect, responsibility, and a clear intention.

A SMALL “PLEASE NOTE” THAT I PARTICULARLY CARE ABOUT...

When it comes to sexual magic, it is essential to be extremely cautious. This is a very delicate and powerful field, and for this very reason it attracts many people who present themselves as masters or guides but who, in reality, make distorted use of it. Pseudo-masters and self-proclaimed initiates can exploit the charm and mystery of these practices for their own personal gain, often manipulating those who are sincerely seeking. It is important to maintain a critical sense, to inform yourself, and above all, never to delegate your personal power to someone else.
