I guess this is primarily a thread about generalized shadow work topics. Do you consider shadow work to be an essential part of working with the occult?
I'm currently working with the The Shadow Work Journal: A Guide to Integrate and Transcend Your Shadows by Keila Shahee, which I've been posting about in my journal. I'm trying not to get too personal outside of my journal.
Any good things you do to utilize shadow work? Is there a way to deal with repressed emotions, I realize I've repressed excitement and do the emotions become unrepresented as you acknowledge them and do shadow work?
I guess something else I have difficulity with, how do you accept that you are very manipulative and learned to manipulate others to get your needs met, and while I don't have Borderline Personality Disorder my mother did have it and I do have traits.
I had trouble with sleep and woke up at 2:30am and realized I was restless after doing shadow work, is doing it right before bed not recommended? Would there be a better time you would advise such as in the morning? What can you expect, psychologically, physically, etc when you start doing shadow work, especially when you repress a lot?
