Over the last decade I have been consulting a Tendai monk and some other practitioners of Onmyodo etc..

Through the dicussions I pretty much have a outline of what Shugendo uses for one particular branch that utilizes Shingon methods...

But I am also writing a text on Japanese magick on its own merit.

I wanted to ask what anyone may be wanting to learn in general and if I would be out of place commenting on Shugendo without official initiation or how people would even view that?

What I can provide is esoteric Shinto and Buddhism and how it intersects with Taoism.

I guess I am also kind of asking what exactly what does everyone want to learn from the data ive collected so far? What do you want to know? I am still writing rough drafts of everything I can but want to see what people want.

Best wishes,
Kusuri

I'd love to learn about Shugendo, and especially about the connection between Onmyodo and Shingon, as I have at some point considered joining Shingon, and am currently very interested in the natural magic side of Taoism/Onmyodo. There is little practical information available about this tradition that is both written in English and can be used by a solitary non-initiate, so revealing even a little bit will mean a lot.
I dont think people will judge you for discussing tantric practices as a non-initiate, considering you seem to have more connection to the tradition than most people, though of course you should remember not to accidentally reveal something you were told not to, sometimes one can accidentally venture into this territory while discussing the non-secret parts of an esoteric teaching, and only notice it once it's too late.
