so you must be a big fan of king arthur then. the english try to co opt him, but he was the first king of wales, not England.

Well, there's not really much evidence he existed beyond being a folk hero, mentioned in Y Gododdin I think? Strictly speaking, he wasn't Welsh but British (that's everyone before the Saxons invaded). Welsh is just the name the Saxons gave us, it means 'foreigner'. Pretty insulting, given they were the invaders!
His myths are fun, not a fan of royalty, myself.
