[Opinion] Smartphone,tv or monitor as Black Mirror

Now you got me. I have put aside an old no longer used smartphone exactly for this use. Didn't yet start experimenting as I do other stuff. I choose old phone as it still has its cover, so as a mirror it can be covered/closed very easily and since it's no longer used as a phone, I don't have to worry about electronics.
I don't have yet knowledge about this kind of connecting with spiritual and don't know how safe it would be for using a TV or other big screen is a good idea. TV sounds wrong as you just want to watch TV and not keep it covered for the most of the time, right?

Can be used? Yes. As effective? No.
A lot of different traditions were built around using what you have access to and a significant part of magic is the practitioner themselves, so you can do magic with anything. That being said, better made/consecrated/single-use tools just work better. BUT you work with what you have when you need to.

Personal experience: I used to travel a LOT, so I have used hotel mirrors/TV/hanging artwork with glass in this regard. They tend to work better if as soon as I got to the room I covered them and I only uncovered the item to consecrate/use it in a ritual while I was there.
Greer’s mirror consecration ritual based on the GRP in his Circles of a Power book come to mind as something to consider if the item will be dual use and need to be reconsecrated before each ritual.

I see things in a regular mirror. However, in the past. I used a black locker during my time in prison. I would see things in it. Crazy shit. So pretty much, you can use anything that can cast a reflection of you or something. It's pretty wild.
The doupt comes to me cause i saw one of those conspiranoic videos on the net about a guy who says that: "today smartphones is a gate for demons to come in and everyone is summoning demons with their electronics cause Black mirros are the gates to the other side and thats why Illuminati create smartphones" bla bla bla you know classic conspiranoic christian shit, but i said wait a sec what is this idiot have some point and this can be useful for LHP workers so i think this is in fact a little true lol

You have school system within you that you need to deconstruct. I have the same issue sometimes, still taught to listen and simply take in what they were telling me so I can get good grades, without thinking how much or even if it actually is true. A slave-like mindset. It's uneasy, because when going to school, it is the same mindset we are following for over 10 years. Even realizing it is a step forward.
As for the claim itself about Illuminati and gates, no, the guy doesn't have a point, that info is completely useless to anyone at all. He might believe it, but I doubt it since he uses internet so has at least one black screen at home himself and I doubt that whenever not using it he seals it with sacred cloth and a cross, or whatever these Christians would do; Nothing most likely as that would be forbitten magic to them. Even if he does believe that, that's bad for him, honestly.
Black mirror is just that, black mirror, it doesn't become magically active on it's own. Even less to become always open gate to hell. If object is to be magical on itself, it requires "recharging its battery" or it simply stops being magical. Also think about it, if all smarties were demonic gates, why are you not facing legions of demons all around you?

Any random reflective tool (even not consecrated) act as 1) a focus point 2) a way to induce a meditative state of mind.
Some people just need that to perfect effective scrying.
Consecration is mostly a mental thing in which you decide your tool to take another meaning from his mundane use. It's not necessary but most of brains prefer the "woo woo" that makes the object becoming magickal.
Then extra states (painting the mirror etc) help to make the images more clear in your mind.
