Strange encounter and series of bad signs

Yesterday I stopped a bully, a pair of teenagers bullying a small child in public (they had no relation to each others, no adults with them).
I felt like one of the two was especially "demon coated" in terms of behavior.
She stopped right when I told her to. But when I came back home today two of my pets where dead. These pets are both symbols of luck and prosperity in my culture....
I tried to do a ritual and my candles just kept falling off the support I always use, and broke in two (the mesh kept it together).
What would YOU do in this situation to clean yourself and banish the energy/anything that may have stuck on you after this interaction, re-establish order and piece on your home?
I will do a small banishing ritual, the one I do at any time of need during the day mentally but I feel like I should do a larger one for my home.
All recommendations will be taken into considerations, in terms of potential prayers, meditations, rituals, tips and tricks.

I don't know if it's a curse in the sense that so far I did not even think of the word. Yet, at the same time, it does behave a bit like a curse.
I already feel much better from what I did in terms of banishing, ritual, and visualization (it included eating extremely rare, significant canned food).

This was great.
Reading it I realized that salt is really something that had always been important in my practice in the past. Recently it was cut out for external reasons, and results have been different fr fr. I should probably look into getting me some condiments.

Reading through the posts, and particularly someone's experience about sending back something, I clearly do not intend to send anything back to that girl. I am of the type to believe that if a young woman (and her friend) are acting like this bullying a child in public, it's probably because someone has done that to them in the past.
I wish her no harm at all, I even do not think it comes from her (the person). But yeah any way, I'm just looking for piece of mind, safety for my pets, my loved ones, and myself (listed in this order because of perceived ability to self-protect), and if we could go back to the incredible yet new normal of above average luck that I have been enjoying for years that would be great.
