The book mentioned that it is a translation of only the first two books, I looked up on esotericarchives for its table of contents. Do you think the first two book is useful enough?
Yes. The breakdown of the sublunary hierarchy / Tartarean thrones and the meaning behind the most famous evocation in grimoire history, along with preparations for materia magica never touched on by other grimoires, that alone is reason to invest. This is the most essential compendium on magic to be released possibly ever, both as a lost historic link in the tradition, and from a practical standpoint. Even if it’s only the first half - definitely worth it.
Don’t know the second one when will sell, Stephen has said this book’s published and transportation met a lot of problem in his own video. But seems he has finished the translation work with Savid.I only wonder why it is only the first half, will he make another volume of the other half, and is there any hints to when it will be released? I am still waiting for a more discounted price of SSM.
* with David. The delux version is sold, hope we could quickly look the pdf or the normal version could be shipped more earlier.

Hi, it is very useful, it contains alot of information. The book mentioned that it is a translation of only the first two books, I looked up on esotericarchives for its table of contents. Do you think the first two book is useful enough?

Yes Stephen Skinner will realise book two that contains volume three, four and five. As for the date i don't know.
Stephen said it was alot so he wanted the SSM in two books. Watkins youtube channel you can see Stehpen skinner talking about the SSM (over 1 hour long) for those intrested![]()
I think he will publish volume three, four and five but it can take time. The whole SSM is about 900+ pages. Is there any certainty that Skinner is working out on the second volume? I bought the book last January 20 and haven't shipped it yet so I am so excited about this book.
Ok the book finally came in, reading how Skinner's wife was troubled about his health while translating this, how the previous translator never published anything about it, all the problems and delays to reach my hands really make this book stand out.I've also ordered the book on Amazon back on December, but no luck, anyone has received this book in physical copy? Last time I heard there were problems with shipping due to some water related accidents.
does it say spirit conjuration can be done but any race/religion/tribe? how is the curse method different from the black box?Finished reading the book, it's interesting. There are some things you can see where later taken and added to the Ars Goetia, so it really inspired it.
The conjurations proposed in the book are really heavy, some of them go on for pages of the book, I can imagine the pain of transcribing all of that, but not the pain of saying all of that.
There are many explanations in what kind of stuff you should create for the call, crown, robes, girdle, etc. Some are really complex, some are more simple, really looks like some of the stuff you could find in the Greater Key in this sense.
There is a small section on talismans (candari), which for some reasons are to be created and put on a table. I don’t really get the reason behind that.
Then in chapter 1 of treatise 2 there is a nice shorter method to obtain thaumaturgy from planets using paper talismans, pretty interesting.
There is a later section where it talks about when and how to curse a spirit for when it does not appear, but warns the user to not do that cause if you do it when you shouldn’t you will be cursed by the Divine instead for misusing this power.
There is a unique table with 4 alphabets on chapter 5 of treatise 2, which Skinner tested out, it’s a bit complex to draw by hand.
Then there is this other talisman described in certain chapter, relating to the symbols of the planets, which seems interesting, but can’t quite get what he final shape is supposed to be, anyone tried it out?
All in all I would say this is already as it is a really big and complete grimorie, akin to having the Greater Key + Ars Goetia, it explains many things regarding calling spirits and gives some thaumaturgical simpler work (talismans, praying to angels).
what about the hexagram and the pentacle (the one to be engraved on the back of the spirits sigil)Finished reading the book, it's interesting. There are some things you can see where later taken and added to the Ars Goetia, so it really inspired it.

The book in general is written as a religion agnostic system, the author repeats many time “use your own bible” as to mean, depending on your religion do what is holy and good. There are many instances where it tells you “this is the way to do it for a Christian, but if you have another religion do this…” and explains you in general what to do.does it say spirit conjuration can be done but any race/religion/tribe? how is the curse method different from the black box?

the box and hexagram, pentagram i asked about are from the goetiaThe book in general is written as a religion agnostic system, the author repeats many time “use your own bible” as to mean, depending on your religion do what is holy and good. This, plus the whole Skinner’s Solomonic book makes me believe that this is a technology, something that can be done by different people in different times, as of now we see all the famous grimoires with Christian themese, names etc, but that’s because they come from a time where that was the norm and the standard, as far as we know this technology was used back in Egypt in the year 200 BCE, and I would bet the ancient Sumerian people where doing this kind of stuff even before.
I don’t really know which black box you are referring to, this book suggests cursing the spirit to be bound and tortured by angels by saying it “I curse you, for this reason, in this way” the later Lesser Key suggests burning the sigil by fire, which is symbolically similar.
I don't really know which hexagram you are talking about? Which page? Which chapter?
Ok, in the Summa the curse method doesn't require burning the sigil of the entity, nor a black box of any kind, it only entails cursing with words the entity that failed to appear, there is a specific curse statement for this.the box and hexagram, pentagram i asked about are from the goetia
Hi; i have the book but i havent have the time to read it fully, but it is intresting about the black box, it is meantioned in the Goetia, but not in Summa, but it is true it is not required to burn, but i do want to know the source of the ”black box”, i used it.Ok, in the Summa the curse method doesn't require burning the sigil of the entity, nor a black box of any kind, it only entails cursing with words the entity that failed to appear, there is a specific curse statement for this
Well in the case of the Summa, given the great and excruciating amount of prayer/calling you have to do for the spirit to come, and given that the book tells you to curse a spirit only after you have called them for 7 times (I suppose multiple hours of calling) then you can curse them.Hi; i have the book but i havent have the time to read it fully, but it is intresting about the black box, it is meantioned in the Goetia, but not in Summa, but it is true it is not required to burn, but i do want to know the source of the ”black box”, i used it.
One is better of with cursing words than burning their sigil in a box, i suspect some people 6-900+ years ago used this method precisely and the spirit came angerly.
