1. Facing East, recite:

By Megameidan, Cleanse for me the North!
By Pa' aziel, Cleanse for me the South!!
By Na'ariel, Cleanse for me the West!

At each stage of the invocation, visualize the appearance of a great angel, composed of naught but pure light and energy, at the appropriate place ( e. g., when you adjure Yahoel to cleanse for you the East, a glorious angel descends from the brilliant light above you and takes shape in the East of the temple, facing outward, sword in hand, guarding against all enmities. Once Metatron, in each of his forms, has taken his places in your space, consider that you are under the protection of the Angel of the Presence, and that in all that is done therein you shall have his aid.

This may seem a stupid question, but are we to enunciate these words phonetically (the way they're spelled) or is there any variation of enunciation?

The easy answer is pronounce them as they would be classical Greek pronounciation, as I believe this particular phrase is taken from the PGM, but then there's a lot of Hebrew names in there as well. It's hard to say. Easier answer is pronounce it the way that feels most natural, powerful and meaningful to you. As even at the time that these words were spoken there would have been a multitude of dialects with conflicting pronounciations.

Yep! That’s the book the spell is from (I have credited it in the OP). I don’t remember the book having a pronunciation guide but I do believe this particular spell is attributed to the PGM.

Thanks for your input. I'll play around with it and see how it feels. Some of what i was coming up with already matches how you had it, so that's a slight (much needed) confidence boost when it comes to my magickal intuition (or lack thereof).

I've seen some form of this sentiment multiple times in so many books beyond counting and I find it fascinating and exhilarating.

When I speak with feeling like this, I imagine myself as a sort of Divine Army General with Authority over All (spirits, elements, the sky, sea, etc) and I speak as if I'm giving a Command with the same energy and intensity as if I were "rallying the troops" before the initial "charge"
