Go to church
You need some oracle for divination that clicks/connects with you so that messages from your highest power/wisdom/the Universe or it's representatives/messengers/angels can talk to you and you can ask them questions (roughly - and mostly for short, current concerns or interactions). In the expressions of the RHP I mentioned this was usually done with the Tarot along with divinatory prayer * but as Lon Milo Duquette points out you can use anything for divination (technically and if you are a magus). Personally I mostly use the Tarot, a pendulum, and/or the I Ching most of the time. Sometimes I get dreams that tell me what I need (this happened all the time when I was a kid, not so much now). There are other cultural forms of divination that I didn't grow up with and don't know about. If you live in a part of the world where this is a problem (much of West Asia, much of Africa) then you don't use Tarot cards or something that would be obvious. You might have to learn to use animal manifestations or rain or weather mainfestations or divination using the Bible/Torah/Koran or even other books (can technically be any book but people who do this and don't use a religious text mostly use fantasy novels that they have a resonnace with).Thank you that was all the guidance I needed I just didn't understand the divination part could you explain it more
Drop doing those rituals, maybe alter and adapt them later.Hello What do you suggest for a newcomer starting the Right Hand Path
I do the LIRP and the Middle Pillar and I meditate I want to know what the next step is
It isn't. In fact it's detrimental as the concept of God is a phantasm founded upon a flawed model of reality created to stop infinite regress. It served as an evolutionary bridge that now ultimately leads to a dead end by not adapting to modern physical cosmological understanding.is faith in God necessary because I do not have faith in him
Shadow work is important to recognize it for internal and external triumph over it. Modern spiritual ethics are a secular extension of the chiral(handedness) asymmetric nature of the universe where life evolves and survives through maintaining and following the means to positive sum outcomes.I would like to understand the dark and underground part of the world but is using such magic in some cases not a violation of ethics
Your practical advise is quite excellent but if the concept of God was reducible to what you say it is I think religion would go extinct a long time ago. It's easy to reject something if you remove all the important parts first. Also, for unrelated reasons, ethics. I'm morbidly curious what the hell do you even think ethics is?It isn't. Ethics aren't handed down by a deity. Instead, positive sum ethics are a natural extension of the universe's inherent handedness that leads toward structural complexity and life.
Religion is entrenched in many cultural institutions. Resistance is strong from those in positions of power due to it. Removing the belief has been slow going for centuries. While it's decreased with higher education, especially since the 1990s, recent years has been plateauing.Your practical advise is quite excellent but if the concept of God was reducible to what you say it is I think religion would go extinct a long time ago. Egalitarian equality does not generally speaking lead to "positive sum" because pursuing it creates uncontrollable positions of power, and usually discourages cooperation. Also, empathy is an emotional state not an ethical principle. That's of course a bit off topic for this threadReligion is entrenched in many cultural institutions. Political polarization contributing to the plateau through the entrenched conservatives of religious authorities and those that benefit from the dogma on one side fighting the positive sum of Dionysian change.
Beneficial ethics are defined by the outcomes of behaviors that lead to positive sums, like empathy, collaboration, egalitarian equality for example. Malign would be zero sum and negative sum, hierarchies and nihilism for example. Revisable through consequence and function.
Egalitarian equality doesn't create uncontrollable positions of power, that's what social hierarchies have done by concentrating power into executives. You've got it backwards.Egalitarian equality does not generally speaking lead to "positive sum" because pursuing it creates uncontrollable positions of power, and usually discourages cooperation. What I meant is that you are summing up God and religion in a way that's dishonestly (or ignorantly) reductive. God was not created to stop infinite regress. The arguments involving it were created a posteriori to intellectually justify belief in him, and very unsuccessfully so as it turned out. You seem to be conflating faith in God to an eccentric phase Christianity once had some so-called "apologists" seem unable to let go of.
What l might indeed be derailing is your proselytising. I will not continue the digression, I hope that I'll have a more appropriate occasion to confront this nonsense of yours.Egalitarian equality doesn't create uncontrollable positions of power, that's what social hierarchies have done by concentrating power into executives. Empathy is a bridge to positive sum ethics, and as mentioned with the others needs observation of consequence and function to avoid pitfalls.
It's not dishonest. It's the way it is. It was created to stop the who created god argument. And it's not just Christianity. It's any transcendent monotheism.
Anyways, this derailing of yours hopefully stops with your last post and this clarification helps op confirm their atheism going forward.
