The gateway tapes were made in the 70s by Tom Campbell, Robert Monroe and many other, since then there has been significant advances in the procedure of projection. It has been discovered that the human body is just an avatar body and this whole universe is an information based system, a simulated virtual reality game called Life on Earth. Our soul/high self/IUOC Individual Unit of Consciousness as Tom Campbell calls it in his Trilogy My Big TOE released in 2003 exists outside of this SVR game. Therefore the human avatar body doesn't have to perform any rituals in order to project other realities, in fact its as easy as think a thought, see the projected reality scene in your head aka thru the mind aka with the eyes of the IUOC looking at another screen, then interacting in the new projected reality. This is as easy as thinking of yourself performing an actions, seeing that thought scene and controlling the avatar you in the scene. Just as we control these human avatar bodies in this Life on Earth reality. Everytime we see something in our head, we are observing another reality. If we cann't interact with a reality with our physical body, it must be another reality.

And Tom Campbell is a flagrant fool. He says endless reincarnation is the best a human can hope for. Can't fathom transcendence.

I will have to disagree with you on couple of the things you mentioned, so that new people will not be discouraged by your message from trying out different programs that The Monroe Institute offers.

Out-of-body-experience will most likely not be achieved by a person who just started The Gateway Tapes. Very often it takes time to achieve it, therefore constant work needs to be done.

I do agree with the fact that some tapes from The Monroe Institute do emphasise visualisation which you might mistake for an attempt to achieve Out-of-body-experience.

I don't think that Tom says that reincarnation is the only thing that happens after death, transcendence beyond physical body is indeed possible according to him, it's that just humans after death choose not to.

(going off the topic a little bit) I personally really liked Robert Monroe's explanation of why people reincarnate after death. According to Rob a soul/consciousness (or whatever you want to call it), will very often reincarnate because people really liked their experience here on earth, whether it will be sex, spending time with their loved ones, etc... and are pulled into reincarnation because they did not detach themselves from the physical world whilst they were there, but there are also consciousnesses that will indeed transcend and continue their journey within the universe. Also you might think, so are they pulled or do they choose to be reincarnated ? Rob's idea is that once a person die's and is in this state of nor transcendence nor descendence, if they aren't detached from the physical world and start thinking about physical world, they will be pulled back in physical world, choice happens by the consciousness, pull happens by the choice. (This is a very simplified version of what's Robert's idea was what happens after death, so take it with a grain of salt)

Maybe you are too advanced into meditation and/or have different way of achieving the your meditation goal, therefore the programs that The Monroe Institute offer are not compatible for you. But for me personally when I just started meditation, the experiences I had provided immense proof that there is something beyond what I previously believed in. Also, as a devout Catholic, I used to reject teachings that differed from Christ's. But because The Monroe Institute avoids dogmatic language, it didn't feel 'scary' to try.

I didn't say training with visualization is bad. What I said is that anyone saying simply experiencing something with your eyes shut is the same as going out of body doesn't know what they are talking about.

Campbell says there is no last reincarnation right in that video. He possesses no special insight into spiritual ascension, yet he has amassed a large undiscerning following. When one has fully transcended flesh, there is no 'entropy' endangering one. That is the entire point of transmuting into a higher subtle body- of which he is oblivious.
