For those who don't know, the Scole Experiments were conducted in Scole, Norfolk, England, from 1993 to 1998. The group (Robin and Sandra Foy, Diana and Alan Bennett) began holding weekly spiritualist / medium sessions in a farmhouse cellar in 1993.
They had some help from the ethereal visitors, and created different devices that were an attempt to improve communications.
One of these devices was the germanium receptor, which is basically a piece of germanium positioned between two magnetic coils, and put under pressure with a screw. The device is supposed to help combine energy from the Earth, from the spiritualists / mediums, and from the 'other side' into a portal between here and there.
I looked at it, how it was built, and didn't give it much thought until a recent article was published about germanium becoming a superconductor when put under pressure. So, what we have is a mini-superconductor positioned at the intersection of two magnetic fields.
The Scole Report can be easily found and downloaded from Archives, in case you want to read it.
At another session, a Communicator (who was not a scientist) explained in simple terms, how it has been possible (and still is sometimes) for us to receive messages on computers, faxes, telephones and tape recorders. In fact, any type of electronic equipment, he told us, is open to possible interaction, even television and video recorders! He went on to describe to us (in a very simplified manner) the basic principles of the silicon chip, which uses a semi-conductor (silicon in this case but the theory is the same), and talked to us about something referred to as the 'cut-off’ point. This cut-off point is very interesting, especially in relation to our other experiments. As I understand it, this cut-off point is reached, after changes in temperature/pressure (remember the germanium is under a certain amount of pressure), The changes in temperature/pressure cause the semi-conductor to become ‘unstable’. This instability is then followed by the 'cut-off’, which is in effect a ‘shut down’. It is, he explained, this instability, or fluctuation, in direction that provides a 'point of entry'.
Does anyone have an opinion, positive or otherwise, concerning this form of portal and contact?

I think i've read about that somewhere sometime. I cant really recall but it sounds oddly familiar.
Gonna look into the report on come back to this.
Also brings the great pyramid of gizeh to mind, the kings chamber is surrounded by sand which produces piezoelectric effects when under pressure. Not a superconductor but i think it mightve actually served a similiar purpose.

I'm pretty confident that the "spiritual realm" is the "electrical realm" and that divine inspiration consists of light entering your pineal gland, because consciousnesses are overlapping electromagnetic fields and light particles carry that "root consciousness" behind all of reality in them. So the portal's already open, it's your third eye. It's possible that this germanium receptor has some effect, but it feels kind of like building an artificial arm. Good for an amputee, but the arms we come with from the factory work better than anything we could build. Similarly, the pineal gland is the perfect receptor for spirit.

You could suggest that a calcified pineal gland is the equivalent of an amputee in this analogy, and they would benefit from this germanium receptor, but my understanding is that a calcified pineal gland cleanses itself if you just start drinking clean water, which they sell at the store. Buy a five gallon jug for $15 and refill it for $2.50 twice a week and in a few years your pineal gland will be flushed. No need to handle germanium, which by my understanding, can make you very sick if handled improperly. We're not trying to become spirits here. 🙃

Honestly I couldn't find it when I looked, even on archive where you said it can be found. I just could find people talking about it.

That being said, I'm not sure what you think reading it would offer beyond your summary. Spiritism doesn't offer falsifiable hypotheses to test. It's just another anecdotal report. I've got enough anecdotes of my own to be disinterested in reading others' experiences. The purpose of those stories is to open your mind to possibilities so that you put yourself in a position to have those experiences. When you have those experiences yourself, reading stories of others' XP kinda loses its appeal.

Like I said, you've got a portal in your mind and germanium is toxic. Why jump through hoops to accomplish something you can accomplish without hoops? Literally all you have to do to contact spirits is drink clean water and meditate occasionally. And I really do mean for two minutes here and there, it isn't difficult and doesn't require olympian feats. I stand by what I said, it's like building an artificial arm when you aren't an amputee. The organic tool (your pineal gland) is the natural achievement, imitating it artificially is going to be less efficient than the one that nature produced.

It's actually "semiconductor" not "superconductor" and what they have made there is basically a crystal set. So any messages they received will be coming over radio waves rather than ethereal waves.
