Give the title and author. Maybe someone wants to help you translate it. @Reizo : do not post links to webshops, as this was your first time this is just a verbal warning

My apologies! I wasn't aware of that rule, I will not break it again, I appreciate you pointing it out, I see now that it was not really helpful or on topic in this thread.

I am German. What book are you talking about?

I am in no way speaking for the OP, but just in an attempt to redeem myself a bit here to try and be of some constructive help:

I think they are speaking of the following manuscript: Compendium rarissimum totius Artis Magicae sistematisatae per celeberrimos Artis hujus Magistros aka "Noli me Tangere," roughly translates to "A rare summary of the entire Magical Art by the most famous Masters of this Art" aka "Touch Me Not," Written in German and Latin the book has been dated to around 1775, although it seems the unknown author tried to pass it off as an older relic, mentioning the year 1057 in the title page. It's publicly available without any special login at the Wellcome Collection, if you'd like to take a look at it for translation into another language.

Thanks! That is the one I ve found too.

I found it online and have skipped through. From the visual style it gives me faustian grimoire feeling.

For the content
-short pharmakopeia section talking about narcotics
-Conjuration of Luficer, Leviathan, Satan and Belial;
-Of nigromantic Pacts between Demons and humans (De Pacto in Nigromantia inter Daemonem et Hominem); also talking about elemental spirits
-Of black magic
-of cacomagical mirrors

Lots of pictures and a difficult handwriting. It doesn't strike me as a particular interesting grimoire. The cacomagical mirrors sounded interesting. The seals in the beginning pages seem to very loose without any reference (I only skipped through but havent seen anything that would reference them)

I think in terms of why this manuscript is most famous is truly the pictures. That's what drew me to it. The pharmakopeia aspect you mention is unique and intriguing though as well. There's often speculation about altered states and so forth via incense or other substances with regard to centuries old grimoire tradition brought up in occult lectures, you don't often see it outright mentioned.

Right. I have seen this one before too. With a sigil for Satan and in the conjurations it gives Satan, Lucifer, Belial and Leviathan as the 4 rulers, like in the Satanic Bible. Interesting.
Edit: but I never would have known this was the book OP meant

A short addendum:

The conjuration lists a hierarchie:
The four chiefs: Luzifer, Leviathan, Satan and Belial
The eight dukes: Astaroth, Magoth, Asmodai, Belzebub, Oriens, Baimon, Aritton, Amaimon
and another 12 spirits: Morech (Morecs?), Nabhi, Tirama, Nudaton, Zagrion, Carufur (Garufur?), Rigaton, Zugula, Ramaison, Hitik (Kitik?, Kilik? Hilik?), Sumieran (Sumuran?), Aloggiell (Atoggiell?)

Some of the angels seals seem to stem from the Heptameron, others like that of Michael and Gabriel are the same as from Secrets of solomon.

谢谢!我也找到了那个。

我在网上找到了,已经跳过了。从视觉风格来看,它给我一种浮士德式魔法书的感觉。

内容方面
——简短的Pharmakopeia专栏,谈毒品
- 《卢菲瑟、利维坦、撒旦与贝利亚的召唤》;

It is a handwritten version, so I am seeking help with proofreading and translation work. Can you help me?

I got this book from a website. I was attracted by its illustrations and felt very intrigued and curious, wanting to know what’s inside.

I also just realized something else very interesting - you posted that Wiki for "Noli me tangere" - take a look at this excerpt I pulled from some of the usage of that phrase - I NEVER realized "touch me not" really had more depth than it seemed as far as a heretical inversion here! So cool

Sure, here you go:

of the congutation (?). Narcotics:

All narcotics and opioids numb the zests of life/animal spirit (lebensgeister betäuben. Lebensgeister is a colloquialism we use to this day often describe to talk about cheerfulness or mental freshness, energy):

Opium: Magensamen (stomach seeds; dont know what that is refering to)
Bilsenkraut (hyoscyamus)
Mandragora: Schierling (Conium)
Nightshades

Those are the numbing herbs

The complex ones:
Methridat and Therriack
Trifera
Laudanum Paracelsi
Diascordium
Philokium maj... (cant read)
Cillullo (? No idea) de cygnoglossa

The text underneath is very difficult to decipher as of now.

Is it necessary to study this book? I mean, can it be used as a book for focused learning?

Alle narkotische und opiatische Mittel schwächen den Lebensgeist, und wenn der finstere Gebrauch derselben Gefahr bringt, so ist eine große Erfahrung und ein genauer Ausspruch dazu nothwendig.
  • Opium
  • Mandragora
  • Bilsenkraut
  • Nachtschatten
  • Mohnsaft
  • Methridat
  • Trifera
Sie wirken nach der Beschaffenheit des Körperorgans. Sind alle schwächend. Narkotisch. Ihr Gebrauch will verstanden sein. Sind nur durch eine genaue Mischung zu bezwingen.
Sie machen das Blut dünne und wässericht. Die Imagination wird dadurch erhöht

I dont know where you got all that text as the text does not say necessarily say that. The part that is hard to decipher mentions ointments, and two other applications. It mentions imagination though.
