We can only hope that mining asteroids for resources becomes a thing. Or even just the moon, the biggest and closest rock to us.

Maybe both, re-direct asteroids to HIT the moon, and go gather the resources. High-tech 'lumber-jacking' with asteroids instead of trees.

I'm good with mining the moon. Fragmenting it with asteroids though is "too much of a good thing" IMO. I mean what would Lovers do?
Not to mention the gravitational anomalies and stuff? Lastly, that polarized moonlight in the woods whispers "Magic/K" to me! :ROFLMAO:

We are fast approaching a time that will be incredibly 'uncomfortable' for most people.

If you have any striving for transcendence now is the time to kick that into highest gear

Heed this or not, you won't be left unscatched. Good luck everyone.
I have ten years worth of weed and pipe tobbaco stored in my attic. Am i ready?

no no, I mean they slam into the backside of the moon, and the pieces of asteroid are what we mine.
No asteroid so big that it would cause actual damage, that wouldn't be safe.
Just rocks the size of what hits earth every DAY and are large enough to not burn up all the way.

Yep, good barter material, for sure. Get what else you need that way.

The last time that I checked a certain "Archdruid" had summed the state of affairs something like this: We've got somewhere around 50 -150 years till the resources (rare earths, food, water, et al) are gone or hoarded by the PTB. This will result in a reversion to a "feudal" form of society initially with the "elite" running the show.
That archdruid promised Brexit would be an economic boon to the UK economy, which is now badly faltering. He also said we would run out of oil by now. I could find another 2 dozen wrong predictions that arch-oracle has proclaimed...more to the point, our trouble timeline (not for resource depletion, but everything else) is very much bearing down quicker than 150 years lol

Yeah, that's why I never had much "faith" in what he has to say. For me to get excited I "gotta have faith"! I'm as "perceptive" as the next practitioner, I'm also interested in the general opinions of our "demographic" on this stuff. So far though no real large disturbances in the "ether" which can be interpreted in as many ways as there are practitioners, go figure.

I've been hearing about the impending collapse of everything for decades. The shit will never hit the fan. There is no fan, just more piles of shit.
Not never. There have been many resets during our lifetimes but most only affect a small number of people. For example many millions of people never recovered from the 2008/2009 Great Recession and lost everything. Some people had nothing during that period and already didn't know it occurred. Many millions of people die prematurely each year from violence and disease. Syria and Iraq are different counties from what they were at points in the past (2024 ended the Assad regime in Syria, 2003 ended the Saddam Hussein era). The collapse of everything is happening all around us, but separately and slowly. Then after it happens, there's the recognition and we can point to a single point in time when everything seemingly changed at once (once the change was inevitable).

That archdruid is a right winger and interprets economics through that filter. His divination might need a bit of improvement. Nonetheless he is right about resource depletion although as noted it is coming faster than 150 yrs from now.

Resource depletion is obviously a problem...or would be if it wasn't already outstripped chronologically by climate change, which is being outstripped by political/economic 'considerations'
