Doomsaying serves one important purpose: there are actual dangers, which are real; but keeping people in waiting for fictional ones makes them tired and apathetic towards the real dangers of failing economy, ecology, social catasrophies - all of which are real, actual, factual, could be easily observed and could have been avoided.
So, while you think you may have lived through many apocalyptic warnings, realize that you have lived through the fakes, while actual doom was predicted at least back in 70's by scientists and we are past the predicted point where it could have been avoided.
The Earth system simply has inertia, which meand the doom may be slower to manifest. But then, when it is already evident, the same inertia means there may not be a way to stop it. And you well know that none of your governments are competent even in times of peace and prosperity. What can you expect from them in times of an apocalypse?
What is 100% certain is while you may not yet die horribly, the quality of life most of you enjoy is at the end. It always ends when it's dependent on robbing others, and West had been living on others' resources for too long.
The Titanic of Western civilization had already collided with the iceberg. It just didn't sink right away, because it was kept afloat by the rest of the world. But it is already flooded and breaking up.
Those who survive won't be living in luxury suits built on suffering and death of other "subhuman" nations, they will be existing in digital concentration camps on rations. So enjoy the last freedoms you have left, it won't be for long.
