I've been infatuated with the concept of unifiers. different mediums, concept or cultures that unify a large group of people even across polarizing views and I think after careful consideration I have found a great unifier that can be used to unify any group of people or individuals and that unifier is music.

since the creation of a rhythm and music every single culture across the globe has had some sort of connection or has created music and I've taken notice of a certain phenomenon, especially in my line of work where I am around very hostile individuals at certain points, that a very good way to build a reputation, defuse a situation, or improve someone's attitude is to determine their taste in music and make them aware, subtly, that you are a listener/fan of that music, group, band, singer etc.

everyone has or does listen to music. everyone has a specific type of music they enjoy. that is why music, to me, is the great unifier for all humans.

Very true, not sure if playing my weird sonic torture would improve hostile situations that much 🥲

But I very much get your message, it truly has potential to shape things for the better - the further we drift from each other through pixels and spun narratives, the more we should think about a unifier that isn't oblivion and zombie consciousness!

Before clicking on this post and seeing the title alone, I thought of music! Not only that, but humor. A laugh is a laugh, and a smile is a smile. Many times I have found myself goofing off and bonding with people that way in spite of a fierce language barrier. 😁
