Out of an excellent discussion with @deci belle on another thread, about anima, came a discovery of a very simple set of exercises - Headless Way by Douglass Harding. Check out their website.

The exercises consist of pointing your finger at things and at yourself. This is surpassingly effective at evoking the feeling of nothingness, anatta. How is it related with the other thread? As @deci belle said, anima is the turning around, and the headless way, as far as I understand it, is all about cultivating the awareness of nothingness, which allows for that turning around. I strongly recommend that anyone interested in spiritual development, be it alchemy, Buddhism, or generally speaking "high magick" check it out.
