It must be 'oldy wordly ' valid .... note the use of 'thine'

Many 'folk traditions ' have sprung out from the real 'rule of three' . Maybe this one relates more to people - giving 'three chances' to tell the truth ?

Here is a quote about the 'rule of three' (its that stage just before manifestation ) ;

'' The Way gave birth to one.

One gave birth to two.

Two gave birth to three.

Three gave birth to all things. '' ( - the 4th stage - the elemental world of 'substance' )

Seems simplistic , and it is , on this level, as this describes the 'rule of 3' in its essence, without the clothing .

Clothing can include; the four physical forces of the Universe , the structure of the atom , 3 /4 'drives' in psychology , our world of 3 dimensions creating the 4th principle 'space' , etc .... it goes on and on ... through everything .
