Looking for your opinions about Seven Mysterious Orisons from The Enchiridion of Pope Leo.

Never heard of them before. A.E. Waite says they are clumsy imitations.

"While these prayers are in some respects curious enough, and may not be unreasonably termed pure and simple by their intention, they compare unfavourably with the sublimity and good sense which characterise those of the Roman Liturgy; they are inexact in their references and confused in their method, and no person who seriously considers them will sustain the early date which is claimed for them. Their period is subsequent to the Renaissance, and the ignorance of liturgical formulæ which they shew, in common with all similar forgeries, makes it doubtful whether they are the work of an ecclesiastic at all. Wow, thanks that was fast. (So funny that I asked just because of what A.E.Waite wrote)

btw. I found orations in some healing praayers for christians book. (not sure of title)

I did read Waite but his chapter 2: The Rituals Of Transcendental Magic is very biased mildly said. Just look into Dr. John Dee diaries and latin prayers quite similar of Arbatel preliminary evocation he trashes before Enchiridion. (but wrongly trashing Arbatel does not make Enchiridion ok)

Basicaly I am looking into ways to move from GD (Thelema) ritual tradition. I was thinking 7 orations might have use in a ritual preparation. in combination with psalms and other prayers...

I have not actually read A.E. Waite. I just googled 'seven mysterious orisons' and checked out the best looking results. But I have read Doctor Dee's diaries
