[Tutorial] THE STELLAR CROSS RITE

For Quite a while now I've transitioned away from the Abrahamic paradigm. It's pretty much Graeco-Egyptian and "Empty Hand" now. Sometimes you want a slight bit of an energetic charge to get you out the door. This compact rite below that I offer here will do just that! It's also very easy to redact for your own taste as well. I hope it proves as useful to you as it has to me! N.B. The Clearer the Visualization here, the more effective this rite will be.

Rite of Opening: The STELLAR (Equal Armed) CROSS (in Vernacular):

Face East or... the direction your Ingenium may direct!
Visualize a line of White Light streaming from Above out of Infinite Space,
and it becomes Concentrated just Above the top of your head, it's very
Intense like a White Sparkler, or Burning Magnesium.

With the first two fingers of your dominant hand, or your athame/dagger
touch the brilliant light, and draw it to your your Third Eye, which then
blazes forth into a ball of Light.
Vibrate the word, “HERE!”

Then touching your Heart, the Light bursts into another Ball of Light
forming a Line going Downwards into Infinity.
Vibrate the word, “NOW!”

Touch your Right Shoulder and gesture out to the South, the light goes out
into Infinity.
Vibrate the word, “STRENGTH!”

Touch your Left Shoulder, and the Line comes through your Center, and
gesture out to the North, and the Line goes out into Infinity.
Vibrate the word, “GRACE!”

Place your hands Palms together at your Heart, fingers pointed up, or...,
Hold the athame/dagger between your palms at your Heart, Point Up, and
imagine the White Light forming a Ball at your Solar Plexus.
Vibrate the word, “WITHIN!”

Then pushing your Palms Forward, the Line of Light streams forth both
Forwards, and Backwards into Infinity, to the East and West Simultaneously.
Vibrate the word, “WITHOUT!”

"SO MOTE IT BE!"

This concludes THE STELLAR CROSS!
It may be used to Good Effect on it's Own Merit, or used as an Opening / Closing for a larger subsequent rite! The only "enhancement" perhaps useful here for those who might want it would be the Colors visualized for the centers on the Cross, I sometimes use them, often not though, as the Intense White is Powerful.

****** Opening Preparation for a Larger Working ******

Focus for at least 1-2 minutes. The Celebrant/s may declare the Intent for the forth coming circle / rite.

Casting the Circle/Sphere: (Brief example outline)

<Insert Method of Choice Here!>

Draw a circle round, and see a Sphere of transparent light expand around, above and below the circle, imagine your voice echoing out along those planes you've created in the rite above, out to the limits of time and space.

Declaim: “I cast this circle round, may the power be raised and the power be bound!"

Looks like something loosely derived from the Middle Pillar Exercise but modified to ground you while empowering you. Interesting concept, but the execution seems like it was more of a happy accident than intentional planning. I might steal that concept and make my own take on it.

Honestly though the name doesn't really fit too well, and the ritual actions and phrases don't really mesh well with the effects of the rite. I get that it's the end goal is to reach a state similar to the headless rite but smaller in scope (above all but still grounded in yourself), but it's not really ideal as it currently sits. I'd have to take some time to figure out what should be modified and how, but if it wouldn't piss you off and if I remember, would you mind me rejiggering this a bit and sharing my tweaks in the replies?

"Luminous Cruciform Rite" would fit better as a name for it too.

Nope not at all, feel free to redact it to your heart's content! What you should understand is that Everyone is different and at a different level of understanding, few practitioners are 100% at the Same level of perception. Not everyone sees this rite as You do, they see it as They do! Get it?

Notice as well that this rite is 3D, Up/Down - Right/Left - Forward/Back! Think about that. Would that be a "good thing", let's say within your

I've also been experimenting with rituals that for their astronomical relationships could be considered stellar cross rites.
It's been difficult finding names/titles to put to the points.

Here's what I mean by example from one of the rituals-
I begin facing the Sun and conceptualize my place on the planet to the Earth's terminator, planets of the solar system, ecliptic, celestial equator, galactic planes and some touchstones to an idea of the universe.
Hands at chest level focusing on the observer within consciousness at the center of All then vibrate "I am".
Extend one hand upward vertically "You are"
Extend the other hand downward "The universe"
Bring arms back to center
Extend right arm toward dawn side of terminator making link between daily dawn and beginning of of time "from the beginning"
Extend left arm to dusk side of terminator with similar sympathetic concepts "to the end"
From Cross to Baphomet form "of everything."
Fetal ball then leap and land into pentagram "ABRAHADABRA"

Then I usually follow up with Resh. I've done some other variations with names/titles. Recent ones have been less abstract, but more effective for reinforcing celestial temple.

The next ritual has a Forward/Back recognition from facing the direction of travel of the solar system around the Milky Way.
The points at the third eye and heart in the op brought back an idea of using horizontal gestures like in Liber V. For metaphoric sympathies to the cosmic body of Nuit from the different celestial points being acknowledged in this ritual.
Often done twice a day when the galactic plane passes through zenith. Precursor to celestial awareness for Hexagram rituals.

I'll drop in an Anecdote about Liber Resh vel Helios here, True Story, I use W.E. Butler's modified version now though. I Tried to Improve on it
but it 's just the "Right Thing"! N.B. I DO use RESH on some occasions for the "Resonance" of the God Names, just depends on what I need.
W. E. Butler is somewhat Underrated, IMO.

I like what you've done there in your post! I think that the ability to "synthesize" is one of the most "Powerful Powers" a magician can have at their disposal. I've gotten pretty good at it over time. The "Names and Images - Vibration and Visualization", "Gestures - Woven Paces and Waving Hands", all combine to create our Personal Corpus! We start with what we're taught by and from others, But... The REAL MAGIC must inevitably be Our Own! I'm encouraged when I see others think along similar lines! We All come to the same conclusion if we Practice Long Enough?

This is merely a suggestion, but reading through the steps of your example reminds me of an Android app I just installed pretty recently (Wonky Name and All) called "Daff Moon"! It's got Everything (Astronomical / Astrological) I ever wanted. The graphical displays of the "ecliptic", "equator" et al, and Solar, Lunar and Planetary displays are Ideal for locating and visualizing Damn Near Everything in the Universe! If you don't have something similar thwt you're happy with check this app out, I think you would be as Impressed as I am. I'm not an Apple fan so never bothered about an Apple version?

The app sounds cool and I just got an Android phone so I'll check it out. I use Stellarium for pc and phone, but the free version functionality for the phone is limited.

I've been thinking of writing a tutorial from this kind of astrological information too. When looking at images of lines and dots of stars and celestial planes it seems obvious and I don't want to over explain. It might be easiest sprinkling like Anna Sprengel, but these celestial rites have cyclic timings that should be plainly explained, questions answered, for others to investigate.
For example, cross-quarter today at solar midnight(~48.5°N latitude[it varies]) using the galactic equator as a mean for the direction of travel of the solar system it's directly aligned overhead. Solar Apex is close to Lyra, but is still part of the same personal constellation.

Sgr A*, the galactic poles and the galactic anti-center are all on the horizon. That's that kind of info that I find helpful from these apps for rituals. Deep space and fresh local news like comets too. Also requires time to experiment before putting it out there. While there are some derivative fundamentals there are some distinct differences and the philosophy is materialist. Coming back around again to general audience and how comprehensive the tutorial.
