[Opinion] - Thelema.. Is it worth studying?

I have recently began looking into the Thelemic works to see if I can incorporate any of it into my own practices. Does anybody have any experience with this particular system?

It teaches that old forms are passed and there is now a new way in line with what is happening 'out there ' . It teaches that restriction is 'sin' that the God form calls you to unite in love and joy, not fear , obedience or sacrifice . It promises certainty not faith ( easy to test by practice ) , it is a religion of celebration and joy in life . That you are a 'star' with your own course, journey and specific genius ; to worship under the stars and take as much love as you want ; encourages learning and then teaching the 'work of the wand and sword ' ; that there is no bond that can unite but love ; and that to do the (rather simple ) ritual , you will come to 'lie with her ' . Also that there is no hierarchy in explaining how you believe , or what parts you choose to believe or practice .

I also like it as it is very similar , in essence, to the main creation myth / cosmology of the land I was born in and live on and its indigenous teachings .

I like it because . for me, it worked !
