Although I have said to dabble into such practices, it would've been best to say that I learn something "here and there" but never got to actually practice it.

So this is my honest attempt at keeping some sort of journal regarding my attempts at telekinesis.

I know that "the mind's powers" have a bad reputation both to laymen and those studying the magical arts and such, due mostly to the boom of fake psychics(which still astounds me since most of said psychics would claim to be able to see the future, speak to the dead or read minds...I don't remember seeing many accounts regarding psychics that claimed to be able to do telekinesis).
Although I suppose part of it is also due to the Cold War, where the promises of supernatural power able to turn soldiers into supersoldiers(and thus decimate/control the opposition) were too tempting to those in the seats of power and research of their respective countries.

Anyway, my logs won't be a daily occurence(even if I train daily) mostly because I know that I cannot make such compromise of posting everyday, so I'll update here and there or when there is significant development or insight.

My training will be like this:

  • First try of the day: do what I feel it's the right way
  • Research both real and fictional works regarding how telekinesis works.Because fiction sometimes has a way to instigate an insight or understanding exactly because it deals with what is "outside the box"
  • Compare notes
  • Second try of the day: try the ways mentioned by the works
  • Compare notes
  • Seek videos and accounts of people that claim to have succeeded at telekinesis
  • Compare notes
  • Last try of the day: adjust training to take into account all understood so far
It might seem much but aside the attempts, and maybe some of the reading and video materials, the rest will probably take minutes to do.
So it won't be a long task to do daily.
I might not be able to do all of it every day, but I will try.

[NOTE: I realize how telekinesis(amongst other "mind's powers") has a long history of being a "sham power" or how it usually is the one thing those first starting in magic(k) or other paths tend to seek.
I do not ask anyone here to believe I can do this, to believe that telekinesis is real or even that my future results will be legit.

Frankly, I do expect people to be skeptical(even wish for it!), but I also ask that unless you can offer true insight, please, do not take your and my time to come and leave a long post about how "this is fake" or "why don't you do Randi's one million challenge then?".
It is already hard enough going against my own common sense, enforced unto me since birth, so I do not need more chains to hold me down

Put two fingers on a ring. Close eyes, concentrate on expected magnetism. Lift carefully.

Day 0

I decided to not follow the same path as everyone else, which means no psiwheels of any sort.

If someone thinks they're a good training tool, go ahead, but I personally associate them to expectations and failure, plus the fact that it is easy to fake results with them through a small stray breeze or even your own breath(without realizing or "playing dumb" to it).

And for that matter, I won't be using paper, foil, anything that is too light or too unstable(or both), because I have to cut down anything that might play with my biases.

So my objects will be(in no specific order):

  • A pen(with it's cover on)
  • A bottle of water of 500ml(full)
  • A chair with wheels
  • A rock(fist sized)
  • Many rocks(small in size)
  • My card deck
  • A car
  • Dumbbells(weight to be determined yet)
I'll start with the pen as my mind is still chained to the mindset that "less weight equals less power" which is, pardon me, bullshit to think of.
Because telekinesis is "of the mind", and to associate the mind to the muscles in this case is asking for a handicap.

But I need to start somewhere, so, as the pen "seems easier" I'll have an easier time getting used to the training and to gradually getting rid of this mindset.
I hope to be able to start soon and, if my studies allows it, have time to update this log.

I was reading the CRV (Coordinate Remote Viewing) training manual used by the US Army back in the day. The text mentions some points of interest for anyone attempting to train their talents beyond the 'normal':

Learning theory for RV [Remote Viewing] methodology is governed by the idea that the student should "quit on a high point." Traditionally, the learning of a skill concentrates on rote repetition, reiterating the skill a large number of times until it is consistently performed correctly. Recent developments in learning theory which have been applied with particular success in sports training methodology indicate that the rote repetition concept tends more to reinforce incorrect performance as opposed to developing the proper behavior or skill. Much success has been realized by implementing the concept of "quitting on a high point." That is, when a skill or behavior has been executed correctly, taking an extended break from the training at that point allows the learning processes to "remember" the correct behavior by strengthening the neurological relays that have been established in the brain by the correct procedure.

The phenomenon of overtraining is a very real danger in the training cycle, generally brought about by pushing ahead with training until the learning system of the viewer is totally saturated and cannot absorb any more. This results in system collapse, which in effect is a total failure to function psychically at all. To avoid this, the normal practice has been to work an appropriate number of sessions a day (anywhere from one to several, depending on each individual trainee's capacity and level of training and experience) for a set number of days or weeks (also individually dependent), with a lay off period between training periods to allow time for assimilation or "absorption." Even with this precaution, overtraining can sometimes strike, and the only remedy becomes a total training layoff, then a gradual reintroduction. It is extremely important that the viewer inform the monitor when he is feeling especially good about his performance in remote viewing training, so that a training break may be initiated on this high point. To continue to push beyond this threatens a slide into overtraining. -
