Unholy Guardian Devil?

Anyone who has been around Western occultism for any length of time is familiar with the idea of the Holy Guardian Angel, and the importance that has traditionally been placed on gaining communication with it. Various approaches have been taken, most famously the lengthy ritual given in the Book of Abramelin. Even outside of occultism, among both ancient and modern day religious / spiritual folks one will find those that believe in a guardian angel (and sometimes a devil on the other shoulder).

Anyone familiar with the left hand path knows that frequently Abrahamic (especially Christian) symbolism has been inverted in practice and philosophy. Black flame (in place of white light), inverted crosses, black masses, indulgence (in place of abstinance), reversed or inverted trees of life, etc etc. For some this inversion is just psychodrama, but others hold it as representing real (or at least effective) blueprints (particularly the alternate or additional trees).

All that to ask, has anyone attempted, or run across mention in a book, contacting one's "inner devil" for lack of a better term?

For me it's just the Higher Self, you can paint it how you like. It adapts to your path. From what I've learned so far you have to create it as much as you have to discover and connect with it. Just like you walk your path by creating it and you create your path by walking it. It's an angel if you need/want it to be an angel, or it's a devil if you want/need it to be a devil. For some it's an inner vampire or dragon, but I do believe it amounts to being the same thing, if I may put it like this.

Some claim that your guardian angels leaves you if you commit to a dark path, but in my humble and ignorant view that's nonsense. If anything leaves you because of your path it's nothing real and nothing of value anyway.

Sure ... all the time . I don't believe in 'devils' though. More of the 'old term' a type of 'adversary or prosecutor ' as the Jews thought ... but really , not that either . More of a 'revolutionary ' - the model of the psyche being set on the model of the 'Order' , ie. with two 'revolutionaries ' .

They are not meant to 'overthrow ' and be 'lawless' (as apparently some in the outer world , in the Order , thought ... according to ** ) but to 'support alternatively ' ... that is ; not ' No dont do that ' but ' it should be done in a different way ' or ' there is a hidden fault in your plan that needs addressing ' .... they keep you on your toes ... but should not be subversive . Thats my view anyway, and apparently correct as when ** was complaining about his revolutionaries in the Order he said they didnt understand the position and were just annoyingly rebellious , but I did and he said he wished I was one of his revolutionaries ..... but he is from a different country .... and I certainly will NOT be moving to that particular country !

To treat this function in the psyche as a type of Christian devil or satan ??? NO thank you ! I dont even let 'their God ' in ... let alone their ideas about Devils ... really mixed up and confused that is .

But hey ; ' Unholy Guardian Devil ' .... love it :D

But should it not have been ' Unholy Attacker Devil ' (if we are going for opposites ) ?

There is also that idea about the good and bad angel on either shoulder whispering in your ear ... 'shoulder angel ' .

The old Zoroastrians wrote that a good man has a nimbus of light above his head (origin of the halo ) but the bad has a snake rising out of each shoulder , on one either side of the head .

Some traditions speak of an inner devil that counters the inner angel. As LHP-adjacent practitioner myself I'd say your Daemon is your Daemon.
