This is a hard but to crack. For me, there's no good or bad decision in regard to this thread. The WF from on set was set out the sole need to help seekers find a home. When the first one crashed, it was devastating and very unsettling. I personally felt that it should not have happened but then it happened. Fast forward, here we are. You will agree with
me that we are yet to recover the steam. It's like the glory is gone. All the same, l do not subscribe to any restriction but if it wii bring sanity to the system, bring it on. Secondly, there are some person under Gen z, who dabble into what they don't know just because they can read....this is my submission....Life is choice....make use of it after getting wisdom and the knowledge to apply. Good luck....and blessed be.

Right now the forum has lots of knowledgeable members and good posts, so I don't see a need for post number requirement for a library. I suspect it could lead to more low quality posts from people who aren't even interested in a discussion.
Placing an account age requirement of a couple of weeks to be able to view the library could hinder scrappers though.

I am mostly a lurker. I have been a member of WF for a number of years, and have learned quite a bit from the other members. I agree with WonderFire.

I would also like to thank SkullTraill for bringing back the forum.

Personally, I consider this system to be wrong...

Everyone contributes as they can; otherwise, it ceases to be a FORUM and becomes the personal property of those who manage the platform...

Yes, I definitely am not imposed. I have not posted anything myself yet . I've only read others and commented. I have found a few pdfs and downloaded. Finding those and having access to them is what has made me want to interact with others here, due to there is not many places that you can share or talk about certain informations.

"Post" doesn't mean you have to open a new thread yourself, replying is enough to be considered a post.

In the garden of knowledge, the rarest blooms are not plucked without tending the soil. For those who seek the hidden library, know that the gatekeeper's trials, while demanding, are not meant to exclude, but to prepare newcomers. The discipline to meet requirements, the patience to give before receiving—these are the virtues that transform a mere seeker into a true scholar of the occult. For in the sacred dance of give and take, we learn the value of both the journey and the destination, and that true wisdom is earned, not given.

Warned: Library Rule Violation
i admit that i found this place because of the library... but it also gave me a place to start uploading books on Eastern Magick that cannot be found on annas or zlib etc...

I kinda joined so I could share more. But also cant wait to see what discussions come about from the topic of Japanese magick.

I would really like to proliferate these books but dont know how to upload to the shadow libraries. I hope I can still continue to upload and that people find value in it.
@kusuri please share it with me I am kinda excited to try but i am a complete novice in magic so I was wondering if you can help me learn it I want to know how to create my paper doll shikigami turning them into little birds to know how good it is. Is there an book I can have to actually learn from. I hope i am not Bothering you or anyone with my request. also Lets discuss more on msg if you don't mind.

I'm new here and i definitely hear you and where you are coming from. I think it would be a shame to limit access to such a wonderful asset.

I am totally getting as much as I can ready. It is important to understand that a lot of Onmyodo is a modern reconstruction in Japan. There is pretty much no written down -exact- instructions, so a lot of modern practitioners are doing what us westerners did to revive mideaval witchcraft etc..

I have instructions for making shikigami from a system called Yoshida Hojutsu (a modern onmyoji order). I am tempted to collect and post these at some point soon.

From what I have gathered Shikigami can be any of the following:

A servant spirit given by a god to the practioner by request (Abe no Seimei petitioned the 12 directional gods for shikigami and was granted 12).

A servent spirit graced upon someone by a God, like a Goho Doji in Buddhism.

A servent spirit bound by the magician (similar to goetia work), sometimes into paper dolls - binding the spirits into the paper dolls instead of a brass vessel.

A servent spirit created by the magician using techniques similar to servitors and tulpamancy. These can be anchored into a paper doll using servitor techniques. It has been documented that Onmyoji could create spirits with their minds, of from the Shikiban (kind of like a luopan but more Japanese)

Another technique is to make a servitor and have it become blessed and empowered by a Kami, Buddha, or Boddhisatva or perhaps a Dragon God.

I will post notes once I gather everything ive learned.

You're seriousyly off-topic. Discuss Japanese spirits someplace else, not in a thread about upcoming changes to the forum Library.

Also please do tell where to talk about Japanese spirits and their magic like a area where we can discuss the whole thing without breaking the rules. Fair Enough right Man
