My mother has a traumatic brain injury among other injuries from a car accident and a few years ago she got
super into essential oils. I'll admit I was skeptical, but I've watched her age in reverse. When she was 40 she looked 60+. Now she's almost 60 and she looks 40. It's not like it's brought her math skills back from before the accident, but her depression seems much more manageable now.
Unfortunately, I'm not as into essential oils and wouldn't know where to begin. I know she has
and has read it though, so maybe it would have something in it that would help.
That being said, I think the solution to this problem isn't what you're looking for. You heal by overcoming the ailment, but in the case of a brain injury, "overcoming" means not letting it get you down, not reversing the damage.
The real struggle in healing in this way is that you can get a pretty good grasp on how your brain injury effects you, but it's difficult to communicate in a way where people understand. My mom's said to me several times "People notice I lost my eye right away, but that barely disables me, I got used to missing an eye years ago. The TBI is invisible though. People still treat me like a normal person, just one who's missing an eye.".
