Everyone's got one.

This is a Uriel Seraphim, designed specifically to force a demon into a bottle; I have included the instructions for its use here as well. You can see that the name and sigil of the Demon King Oriens—which I have highlighted in red—are interchangeable; the example simply serves to demonstrate the method to the practitioner. There are two theories regarding its use: one suggests leveraging the Demon King's power to coerce his subordinates, while the other involves summoning the King himself. Naturally, the bottle would likely be placed at the position corresponding to that Demon King, as the Seraphim itself functions similarly to a spirit-summoning table. It bears some resemblance to the magical triangle found in the Lesser Key of Solomon, yet differs slightly; however, it would make perfect sense if the bottle were placed within the seal of Uriel.

One aspect I find particularly interesting is the possible role of the bottle as a vessel for receiving visions. In the invocation associated with Uriel Seraphim, the spirit is asked to appear within or outside the vessel and answer questions truthfully. This suggests that the operation also has a strong divinatory dimension.

There is a useful parallel in the Grimorium Verum’s “Divination by the Word of Uriel,” where a vessel of water serves as the focus for spiritual communication. That version also allows answers through writing or dreams, which adds another layer to how we might understand the bottle’s function here.

Your comparison with the Goetic triangle is especially worth exploring. I would read the surrounding angelic seals as establishing the sacred authority under which communication takes place, with the vessel providing a defined focus for the encounter. The relationship between that angelic framework and the spirit being addressed is, to me, one of the most intriguing features of the design.

Please clarify for me. By his subordinates, I'm assuming you mean his legions?
