Everyone's got one.

All creatures die, even vampires, although I suppose you might be able to optimise your lifespan within normal human bounds?

It seems to me that it's the ego that wants to live forever, and that is often the most fragile part of us, I would like a long life, but not forever. Life is an adventure, but I don't fear death either.

Entropy is irresistible. Heat Death is Coming!

not everywhere has entropy, rather entropy is a gathering mechanism, theres a cycle that decays and births new universes all the time. Not everything is subject to entropy, such as angels. The sight of being in one seeing looking out of the structure that looks like it was built by light (it isnt but thats our perception) into nothingness, into forever with no decaying of the being itself.

Some powers do actually grant physical immortality, but you do have to master the basics just to wield them.

Not sure I agree. Aren't death and taxes the two universal constants of the universe? And with strange aeons even death may die

all souls create energy, however the amount of energy they create usually is very little, unless the creature/being is highly evolved like angels. This is why religions exist, as worship and sacrifice offerings offer energy to these creatures and empowers them, while offering them not only immortality but respawn on death. This is why defeating a deity is not so straightforward as there are only 2 ways to do it. One is to kill all their worshippers then kill the being itself, the other is to harm and preserve the entity preventing the entity from dying or doing anything. This registers the entity as alive preventing any respawn, worship still goes to it, but you can mess with it not to mention the creature cant do anything in that state. Works on major religions.

Death isnt permanent, people reincarnate though you can still transcend death with certain powers or ways from either changing bodies, imposing reality, regeneration, and more. The real limit to this is the mind as many powers require a good strong mind otherwise the practitioner gets consumed and go mad. I was reading one of the experiences someone had with angels and they were negative because it caused them to go mad. Though that person didnt provide details, angels are very powerful so improper exposure can cause madness. However more likely those were pretenders instead.

there are many things that arent subject to this because they exist and are the system itself causing it. For example the void that decays and gathers creating new universes all the time and killing old ones. The void itself is exempt from this. Some beings can create, so they are exempt from this as well assuming they arent getting their energy from somewhere else.
