Astride of a bridge between two worlds
Waiting for mysteries to be revealed
I feel like my mind is being unfurled
When suddenly the portals are no longer sealed
The doors fly open and the pathway is here
Infinity beckons and seems to draw near
Terror and ecstasy here do abound
So I’m vanishing desperately into the ground.
Arising up into a world of light
Maniacal laughter is breaking my brain
With insane abandon I take flight
Completely unknowing and uncaring of pain
The doors are open and the pathway is here
Infinity beckons and seems to draw near
Terror and ecstasy meld into one
So I’m vanishing recklessly into the Sun.
For all that I’ve gained I’ve had to exchange
My answers have come at a terrible price
The metamorphosis done I can feel the change
So I must vanish once more as I’ve already done twice
The walls have vanished and the pathway is here
Infinity beckons and begins to draw near
Terror and ecstasy lie shattered and destroyed
So I’m vanishing forever into the void.
