Walking the Cemetery

There's a lot of misinformation on the cemetery and I decided to write a guide for people that live remotely and can't find an irl teacher.

The best cemeteries to work are ones that are neglected. The same is true for particular graves. Spirits that have been neglected are generally more willing to offer help in exchange for attention. This attention can be offering tobacco, liquor, money, or even mass/prayer.

The cemetery has its own rules and magic. It is best to be introduced to the cemetery by an elder of a tradition, however, that isn't always possible nowadays. Because I know people will attempt things that are ill advised I'm going to offer some simple basic protocols:

The first guardian when you approach a cemetery is at the gates. Sometimes the "gates" are nothing more than a sign or demarcation at the road. Whatever the situation this area is to be treated as a spirit. I recommend simply announcing yourself to the Master of the Gates. As you do, sprinkle some liquor and ask for permission to enter.

At this point wait for a sign or signal that the spirit has acknowledged you and will permit your entry. At any sign of hostility immediately abandon the idea of entry for the day, pour liquor, and leave.

If you gain entry the next is identifying the Master of the Cemetery. This spirit is generally the oldest male grave in the cemetery. In very old cemeteries this grave my be impossible to find, instead one should look for the highest cross, flagpole, or some grave/crypt of prominence. There should be a sort of magnetism of the area, as this is the spirit that is acting as chief in that cemetery. Some sign of life should be noted as well such as an insect or animal. Again this spirit should be acknowledged and offered liquor, tobacco, and/or money.

State your business clearly to this spirit. Say why you are there and what payment you will offer for the help given. The spirit may take on the task for himself or direct you to a grave of a willing spirit. If you are directed to another spirit that spirit make be acknowledged similarly as the Master of the Gates and Master of the Cemetery. You should also make clear that you were directed by the previously encountered spirits.

From this point I would recommend doing your work at that grave. Taking home a spirit without proper experience and guidance can quickly get out of hand. Instead light your candles and do your work, and tell the spirit what you will pay for success. Generally, having a mass for the spirit said will hasten results and also be considered payment.

When you are finished head straight back to the gates. Drop some change in both sides of the gates and say, "I pay you," as you exit.

You will do the same at the first crossroad you encounter.

This guide is not all encompassing as every cemetery is unique. It is recommended that you dress appropriately when you go: wear white or denim. Act respectfully and be concise in your words. When you return home, before entering, make sure to clean the bottoms of your shoes; if wearing sandals clean your toenails. Finally, bathe in a simple bath if bitter herbs to remove any clinging energies.

The cemetery has very real power that goes far beyond doing baleful acts. I have healed people (including myself) almost instantaneously in the cemetery. I've also created good fortune for myself by tending to neglected cemeteries in very simple ways. Respect goes very far with the dead and they can be very quick to please.

I posted this merely to be informative in a sea of misinformation. I bear no responsibility for the misuse of this information and strongly encourage that you find a real teacher to work with.

it seems im the white one this time (scarry shit to me), so i do not really use a graveyard for that purpose, although i DO understand and dont oppose it.

last year my mum died and i had to burry her without the proper initiations to do so. it had to be a REAL islamic thing, as she was highly devoted to her path. i think that for about the last 10 years i had been searching for a solution. i found a lot of friends in the online community who send their spirits on the day of her burial. and indeed it was beautiful and special.

and although i am still angry somehow at jean kent (never mind, just so its clear and i have my self respect) i am also very grateful for the help you guys gave me, whether it was knowingly or not.

as i am not working with any of the spirits you work with and will be going to my mums grave on the summer solstice to celebrate her 1 year anniversary in the grave ( she really feels like partying, my mum. always did) and i also got a hint to discuss this with you, or at least put this story out in the open, i decided to put it up here on wf. so here it goes:

remember hagen van horne an old wf member? he works the graveyard my mum went to. and it made me wonder how such things work with different paradigms. as i never had been to an islamic funeral i was wondering how that would work too. somehow the baron found that quite silly for me too ask, but to my surprise came to help with it all.

when a moslim dies, family members wash and anoint the body, while saying prayers. they carry the body themselves to the grave and lower the body themselves in the grave. then we all burry the grave with sand. when i was doing that my rage went up tru the skies. i later found my husband having the same experience, but at home.

after that we had food and drinks and shared it with neighbors, family, friends and gave to the poor by bringing food and drinks to the mosque.
the first week was like the first week after having a child. it was very strange. and then i started noticing bubbles of memories starting to float tru the air. i also noticed some people hanging on to certain emotions and feelings, but also a sort of war started over such things. it was very strange.

at the same time, every time someone came at her grave, it was like i was pulled to it and got visions, but also sometimes a clear view of her grave. now at almost the end of the 1 year, it feels like her grave is alive and has become a nexion.

when i go to her grave this summer solstice i will complete the tradition given to my tariqqa, which is of course totally islamic. which means i will pray for her soul and well being on her travels to and on the other side. i will also pray for our community as it has become hers, just like i will pray for her new neighbors. i will also sprinkle rosewater over their graves, to bring remembrance and peace wherever they need it.

after that, i will be cooking a meal and celebrate a new beginning after a year of mourning.
@8Lou1 Thanks for sharing, your journey.

In my spirit legacy when young we use a crossover ceremony to activate are subtle energy bodies to gain experience/knowledge within the spirit part of this world. After obtaining a spirit mentor who taught me spirit work. I went to a grave yard to see if I could help out some of my dead relatives who where buried there. While there I came across my Jewish uncle Michael. He showed me that after he had been buried in that cemetery he had taken charge/control of the spirits in the catholic part of the grave yard. He had done this, because he was waiting for his catholic wife to pass away and join him and they could leave together.
Over time I completed the work for my relatives that were also buried there. I am grateful that I got to enjoy hanging out and learning from my uncle, until his wife arrived and they had both left.

Thank you for sharing, merlinscloak.
After reading your post i realised that my occult path started after i went to my granddads grave and cried my heart out. Hes in the same cemetary as my mum, only not in the islamic part. No wonder the baron thought i shoud know how it works. 😂

I was wondering, as this will be a one year visit to my mums grave, how to close this year of mourning. I coudnt really get a proper answer (i got anger on my brain, so im a bit deaf), so i decided to go with intent and a happy flow, but also in split groups as we as kids dont want an argument as we wish each other the best.

So that will be our improvised version. You wrote about a proper way of entering the cemetary. So what is that in your version?

I always been thought that you have to ask permission, it depends of the paradigm you are working with some it s st benedict, ste radegonde or baron. However, when I use to live in Paris, spiritualist that go call on Alan Kardec in Père Lachaise cemetery don't ask for permission to get in, I dont know if they get what they ask though, but when you look at all the thanks etc

Im from the french west indies, so in the kind of folk catholicism practiced there, St Radegund is the guardian of cemetery, St Benedict is one too.

However I don`t think just because you ask permission it going to work or not work.It depend of what you do. Alan Kardec is petitioned with flowers, you have to go there several time, I wont go and give all the detail but if you dont acknowledge the guardian it might not work.

abandoned grave is a good choice but what Roma said is also true that why im talking about purification. for example to quickly develop psychic power in a few days someone can sleep on an abandoned grave for three days, you have some prayer to say, some bath to take, you might get what you want but you might die too because it suck on your energy...that why guidance and having the good infos is important.

Interesting post on cemeteries. I believe that restless spirits are at most cemeteries due to unfinished business in the physical life
