WHAT ARE AMULETS AND TALISMANS?

What are amulets and talismans, and how do they differ from each other? Despite their differences, these two powerful magical objects are undoubtedly essential and complementary at the same time. The energetic structure of the amulet particularly favors what we might call a true defensive action: the amulet, in fact, plays the very important role of protecting whoever wears it (be careful of the presence of certain types of black stones on it!!!). It is, in effect, a kind of enormous protective shield against all forms of negativity, from the most common bad luck and the evil eye to the most advanced forms of magical attack through advanced ceremonies.

In the field of magic, amulets can be divided into two large and distinct categories:

1. Personal or Individual Amulets. These types of amulets are basically those that protect people from negativity, attacks, and bad luck. In ancient times, they were mainly used against diseases, everyday dangers, and even problems related to virility (especially considering how important procreation and the advancement of one's lineage were). Personal amulets had to be worn, in full contact with the skin or with a specific part of the body in relation to the protective purpose for which the amulet was created. Here too, as can be seen, the power and redundancy of sympathetic magic or imitative magic once again clearly demonstrates its extreme value.

2. General Amulets. These second types of amulets, known as general amulets, were not intended to protect individuals, but rather had a much broader role. The scope of general amulets was to protect entire environments, such as homes or even entire villages. Thanks to this broad protective energy, the ancients placed amulets of this type on the walls of cities or villages so that every corner would be subject to the beneficial influence of these magical protective objects.

On the contrary, Talismans behave in a completely different way, although, as mentioned above, this difference is not always fully understood or appreciated, but this only happens in the so-called modern era.

Talismans fall strictly within the sphere of promoting complete well-being, amplifying any type of positive influence, increasing and enhancing well-being, as well as luck, success, and all forms of energy for beneficial purposes and uses. One of the most interesting characteristics inherent in the creation of talismans is, in fact, the use of all astrological influences. The vast majority of talismans are, in fact, created through magical astrological correspondences combined with planetary ones: as we have already discussed in the relevant article presented therein, every practitioner can derive great power from the magic of the planets and their ruling spirits, or guardians, thus gaining the ability to create talismans and then take advantage of their planetary characteristics to achieve their own purposes and objectives.

To conclude, it is almost certain that this is why amulets and talismans, despite everything, are so different:

Amulets are intended for rather generic purposes and are also limited mainly to matters of protection; talismans, on the other hand, can also be used for many other purposes and reasons.
