Title. I would love pointers on where to go from here.

The focus for now is reading up on academic texts that provide both history and an overview of Hermeticism. Only after that will I ease my way into practice, starting small through meditation and journaling before working my way up to divination and bigger planes.

I assume this is the way to go about things?

Note that there are better translations/editions. And then as a practical matter, a version of Israel Regardie's The Complete Golden Dawn System of Magic. But drilling down through academic texts is going to cover this ground anyway. What do you think so far?
