What Keeps You Motivated?

I've always wanted to ask other occultists how they stay motivated to do their magickal rituals? I find it hard to maintain motivation for rituals, especially getting started again so I thought I'd ask other how, even if motivation fades, they keep up with their rituals?

My goals keep me motivated , I think it would be hard to maintain a steady pace without a solid goal in mind

Devotion. This is my purpose, regardless of the payoff or straights I'm in. I'm chained to this hill of skeletons!

I don't know how helpful this is to you, but for me magic (understood broadly) is just the most thrilling, fascinating, compelling, and meaningful thing I know of. Better than sex. Better than drugs. It's what to do and be. This doesn't mean that I don't have to fight off laziness sometimes, but basically it is what I really want to do, so motivation isn't hard to find.

Maybe the motivation for you can be knowing that if you build up enough momentum, your experience will be like this too.
