Occultism is an umbrella term to describe any alternative sciences.
It includes various fields of study, right?

Not everyone who studies Qaballah/Demonology will do Wicca or Chaos Magic or Numerology and Dream Magic.

What is your main?

My daily ritual practice consists of primarily GD rituals. But i add in some other qabalistic practices and visualization techniques. In a way you could call me a chaos magician because if my eclectic approach of utilizing things from different systems.…but i dont particularly identity as a chaote.
the primary value in chaos magick is i think showing you how magick works (the bare bones of operation) and also its great for explaining magick to normies with how it fits neatly within the psych model.

but i tend to lean more towards ceremonial approach. Theres unquestionably positive benefits of doing rituals like the LBRP & Middle Pillar daily. i noticed within a couple months everything about me and my life was more ordered, organized, and clean. Its crazy when i look at the first few pages of my magickal journal and then flip to the back where the most recent entries are…it looks like entries from two entirely different human beings lmao because it IS! These rituals have undoubtedly transformed me in a very short space of time. So there is very clearly something to these rituals.

there is power in words, in declarations. all religions seem to understand this. from mantras to curses these have to be 'broadcast' by physical words. the power of words is undestimated. how many of us have felt physical hurt just by hearing negative words about us?

To use the labels loosely, I am very much eclectic through and through, with a strong leaning to energy/chaos workings.

I jokingly told a buddy the other day that I do Demo-Shama-Ani-Molatry 🤣 🤣🤣

I follow no path, I follow no rules. I do the magick that works in the moment. I dont care about systems, books, steps, or mechanics, I care about magick and the results. I realize you need me to fit into a nice little box so YOU feel better, that's a you problem. I am just doing what works for me. If there were no results, I wouldn't bother with this stuff at all, just being honest.

My primary practices consist of Chaos Magick, Demonology, shadow work, and metaphysics.

Honestly don’t know what anyone would call what I do. I call it cunningcraft though it’s not because what I do looks like historical cunningcraft but because, as stated above, if it works, I’ll use it.
most of my work these days involved Nagas and stars

From a Vodou perspective ritual is to get to the place where you have konesans ( from the French "connaissance" ) which means 'knowledge' but here means something more like deep awareness or consciousness - as you take your place in Creation, an active participant in a living, breathing, alive universe. Once you have konesans, really, all you have to do is wave your hand. You become magic.

I can't stay there all the time myself, occasionally yes, which is amazing, so the ritual tech and Grimorium Verum allies helps to get there, along with my more personal mystical practice flipping between agnostic Zen Buddhism, and Folk Catholic mysticism.

But for 'empty-hand magic' I love Nevile Goddardian Law of Assumption New Thought.

I don't follow any certain school of the Western Esoteric Tradition, while I respect (most of ) them as important contributions of their time. I would say the basic framework of my approach is close to the foundational principles of Chaos Magick. As Peter J. Carrol writes: "Chaoism seeks to explore the inner riches and to expand the Inner Mythos, the pantheon of powers within."

I still make new experiences, and work on concepts and ideas, in theory and practice. One of my special interests lays in Archetype Magick (every deity, entity, etc. is an certain aspect of Divinity, originating from Human projection) and at the moment I'm invested in Autoerotic Goetia/Kink Magick, focusing on trance (and sometimes substance) induced temporal amoravampiric power exchange with the Dark Mother archetype. She likes to nibble, and so do I.

I'm all over the place, to peg my style down people might call me a Hermeticist and they wouldn't be wrong. I use Alchemy, Astrology, and Conjuration as my main mode of magic. But I have an affinity for esoteric Buddhism, Greek Philosophy, and the Abrahamic faiths. I found in an old 10th century Arabic book a philosopher describing my practice to a tee which was pretty shocking. They called people that practice what I do Sabians. I personally don't appreciate labels as I echo the sentiment of the magus before me in the thread that say "if it works I use it" however my eclectic practice has been revealed to be a historical current. The Magical Sabians practiced a combination of Astrolatrous Hermeticism, Talismanic Magic, Conjuration, Theurgy, Yoga, and Greek Philosophy under the guise of Islam/Abrahamism. Pretty congruent with what I've grown into.

Hello everyone!

My path is mainly focused on inner practice. I explore Tibetan Buddhism and Inner Goetia as a system of spiritual and psychological work, and I also feel close to certain aspects of the Northern tradition.

I do not practice classical Goetia and would not approach it without serious preparation and personal guidance from an experienced mentor.

For me, Inner Goetia is a way to observe destructive patterns of the mind, understand their roots, and work with inner blocks — such as fear, doubt, and loss of clarity — through awareness and the gradual transformation of underlying beliefs.

To avoid distorting the concept, I’ll quote the author from whom I first encountered this term:
“Inner Goetia is a system of mind-therapy based on traditional views of constructive and destructive matrices operating on both personal and transpersonal levels.”

Glad to be here and to connect with practitioners of similar paths.

i am not sure if what i am doing has a certain name it is called by ... it is made out of performing simple rituals and working with spirits coming from the category of ones that us , humans , would refer to as the one of " demons " .

only ones who i feel drawn to , as well .

most of the time , the performance just consists of me connecting with the demon i am asking for something from through ... an offering .

i don't think that has to be a " thing " specifically , but also an experience that makes the one going through it have good feelings . in my case , it is the one of consuming pieces of media . not just any ones , though , but ones i think who it is for might like or that remind me of them .

sometimes , something to watch .

sometimes , something to listen to .

and ... i always seem to get results like this !!!

My basic rule is simple: I work with anything that produces real results. If it works, I use it.

The only approach I avoid is restrictive control-based magic in the style of classical Goetia, where the operation relies on rigid containment and direct coercion. Over time I realised that this model, although traditional, limits the quality of results in my particular case and does not align with the way I establish spiritual contact.

Aside from that, I am fully comfortable with any magical system or tradition that demonstrates genuine effectiveness.
